I am October 2012 filer from Virginia and still wating for NO2. I had an infopass last week at Washington DC field office, they said my file is in this office but no one hast start working on it yet.

not sure why taking so long for your case. did you contact your congressman or senator?

I sent it on may5 and got a checklist 10 of June replied to it on June 11 but still no luck

Checklist for AOS? They recieved mine on 7th and got reviewed yesterday, so your should be coming.

Just called and was told that AOS is accepted and no RFE. waiting for IV to get clear then case complete.

It is still possible if they start processing quicker! There are few of us waiting from early June!!

I am really sorry this happen to you and I feel your pain. The law says, if you commit a crime you will have to face the punishment. The fact that she picked the knife alone is big crime.

I know a guy who had a green card and could not become Citizen just because he had a domestic violation. He had to go back after 10 years.

After long 15 minutes on hold Just finish talking to NVC operator. she confirms that my first Aos was been reviewed last June 12 and got my checklist on that last June 14. I just ask if they already review and still no information. She says I need to a lot 20 working days to be in system. And I also I follow up on Ds230 packet. she informs they already finish reviewing the ds230 just waiting for the Singapore Police Clearance. finally got my police clearance. and I will send tomorrow. ?

When did you send your first AOS and IV?

Yup, sort of. Mine were mailed out JUST before June but arrived in their offices (as per DHL tracking) on June 3rd and 5th respectively.

My dates are in signature.

I mailed my AOs on June 6th and it was delivered on 10th.

I mailed my IV package on June 14th and it was delievered on 17th.

I just hope they are approved by early next week! I want august interview and hopefully no RFE!!

uhh I am just a day ahead you for both package. I called them Yest. and nothing yet. I don't know why it is taking so long.

On June 20th, my husbands Visa was issued. We were in AP for 7 months. We are still waiting on his passport to reach him and to make flight arrangements. FINALLY!!!!!!

Yes, you are good. What I was talking is regarding I864 EZ.

You are qualified to use I864EZ but you didn't use. You used I864 instead, and that is totally fine.

Yes, you are fine. The I-864 also asks that you report your Total Income (line 22) if you filed a 1040, just like the I-864EZ.

So, I've been corrected. If you filed a 1040, then you need to report Total Income, but if you filed 1040EZ then you report Adjusted Gross Income.

You can use the I-864 if you have other sources of income, but only if you meet the financial requirements by only using your W2s.

I have filed 1040 and not 1040EZ. I have sent i-864 and not i-864EZ.

Now coming back to line 22.. here are my numbers..

W2 income - 114

S corp income - 35

line 22 -149

On my i864 I have written 149.

That's really strange, because the I-864EZ specifically asks you for your Adjusted Gross Income, which will include income beyond the W2. If you filed the 1040, this would have been the amount reported on line 37 on the 2012 return.

I used the I-864EZ and reported my Adjusted Gross Income for each year and was approved just fine.

You are right, they are asking for Adjusted gross and that is why I am little lost, though I have sent them i864 with gross including W2 and business.For me, W2 income is more than what is needed to qualify. I thought if you have business income you can not use EZ. is that true?

I called NVC again, and found out the problem. I should only use W-2 income as total income, but not the gross income which includes other business income!

Seems everything is taking time these days. AOS was sent on 6th but nothing so far from NVC. very frustrating. I feel that the reason for delay is due to the new i864 as NVC couldn't review it so now they have huge pile of these files to clear before they touch ours.

I would suggest NOT sending in anything unless it's requested. It could cause a delay if they receive something when it was not requested. Just be patient for them to review it.

I feel there are more chances of us getting RFE than not. I am glad you are doing the same. I was told by one representative last week that i should plan ahead and send it.. Just in case i get an RFE!!

I am thinking to attach a letter with the new affidavit form.

I am not sure why it is taking so long for them to review document they received on 6 or 7th June. If they start reviewing our documents today or tomorrow then I am not sure if new AOS is required but no harm in sending new one. I thought case will move much faster in NVC but no hope... I wanted to get case complete in June.

I am wondering the same thing.. I am thinking to mail the new AOS tomorrow through express mail. just incase i get an RFE it will be there already. waiting for them to sort it.

Last time when I called, I asked the same question.. What will happen to our old AOS if they get reviewed after 23, and did not get any clear answer. So I am too in the same boat.
