  1. I just went to uscis status page

    https://egov.uscis.g...d/CaseStatus.do

entered numbers one by one, starting from mine and going backwards, until I found 10,000 I-130 petitions.

    Thanks..

I Just called my congressman, he will try to get some answers form Local office. Need to do something cant just sit around.. These people are crazy... I have seen people getting approved after visiting Local office. Some IO at local offices are nice and they do help with approval but some are rude and just tell you that it will take 6 months...

  2. Don't worry too much about checking nearby numbers. They receive over 1000 I-130 petitions EVERY day, so few numbers up and down won't matter in the statistics. I've been checking 10,000 of these numbers from mid-December, and only half of them are approved by now. It's frustrating, I know. Hopefully by early March they'll get moving again.

How did you check the numbers? any links?

    Thanks

  3. Today was my standard interview for my husband's 130. Our file began at NBC but was transferred to the Baltimore field office. I am pretty sure we ended up there since they might be counting our wedding date as happening while he was in "removal proceedings". The interview was good .... and 5 hours later i got our NOA2 via text message. NVC here we come!!!! Good luck to the December filers who are still waiting.

    Congratulations

  4. that is great for you, just like how u stated that you don't need to be scolded same goes for me, and your reply really didn't have any kind of indication of help, and to me personally I consider it disrespect to the fact that u don't even know me to reply to me in this kind of way and u basically just made me look like a whiny person lookin for pity and not doing what im supposed to do and I just post threads to whine like a child, which I totally do not highly appreciate and for that I replied in the same tone as ur reply!!!! and if you did read the previous reply that I had before niki u woulda seen that it clearly state that there have been an update for my case by me asking tomvan about my requested evidence which if you read was tellin me that they noticed that I got a RFE and actually congratulated me on the SAME Thread with a positive reply, so making me look like a whiny person searching for pity was also not nessecary.

I apologies for very unreasonable and unacceptable behavior from people. I my self have faced many harsh reply on my questions. I don't know what they are doing here but obviously not helping. We all are frustrated and we do ask question which may not be important to others but there are many who may want to ask same question, so rather raising doubts, shouting, insulting and mimicking I suggest you ignore our question and try not to reply.

We are new to VJ and we have rights to ask question in any form we may chose to. If you think you can help us, well then please help us and we will appreciate your help, but if you think you just want to scold, insult and make us feel that we are stupid to raise such a question then I am sorry but we do not need your help.

nonee1229, RFE is a sign that your case is moving and you can expect an approval soon. Congrats and please do raise your questions, if any. We all are here to help each other.

  5. when i called to find out whats goning on with my form they told me right now its at nbc

Just to let you know that you can't trust what they tell you over the phone. It happened to me and to many here on VJ. You need to call USCIS, talk to Tier 2 officer and ask specifically if your case is transferred to Local office or not. You may wanna call few times to get right answer. I called in march and they told me it is still at NBC, but after a week or so called again, and it was surprising to know that my case was transferred to Newark on Jan 9. I was very confused whom to trust, so went to Newark and they confirmed that they are processing my case.

So, I suggest you call couple of times and talk to Tier2. if your case is at Local office then you should visit and try to find out whats going on. By going to Local office, I avoided getting an RFE. There are many people here got approved after visiting local office.

  6. hahahahaha i see where you are getting at. Thanks for all your help. I'll keep everyone updated when i find more infor. I guess i'm only arriving at my 3rd month

When you call, talk to Tier 2 office. Asked first ISO to transfer to Tier 2 office. Call couple of times.. First time I called in march and ISO told me that my case is at NBC, after a week or so, I called again and another ISO told me that it was transferred to Local office on Jan 9.. So I don't know how they come with answers but they do bluff.. So if you have time, you can take an infopass to your local office, asked them if they have your case.

  7. I can imagine how you feel. I really do not know what they are doing. I wen to an info pass appointment and it was completely useless. I wish you the best. Hopefully we will both here something soon

"GaganGoel" got approved on 17. He went to NYC local office on 16. I suggest you guys go for an InfoPass. There was a IO lady who said she will walk by the department which is looking over the case and will call or email about the status(Super nice cuze no one usually say that they will call or email).. So I suspect she definitely had something to do with the approval.

By going to local office I avoided getting an RFE and I am planing another visit soon.

  8. Our status on USCIS has changed yesterday! we are getting into something here..

On April 15, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice.

I am soooo happy. This means we are getting NOA 2 anytime now!

    Thank you Lord.

    Congratulations on your approval...

Can you please fill in your timeline. ..

  9. Here we go again! I have done my homework for the last almost 5 months , talked to even tier 2 officers, yelled at some too! Still no luck. Simply frustrated!

Well looking at past cases we can at least say that NBC is faster than local offices... No one is going to deny that here. Why don't you just try going to your Local office and find out?

First time I called USCIS on 5th March, had a long chat with Tier 2 who swore and pressed that my case is at NBC.. I called on 8th march and talked with Tier2 who confirmed that my case was transferred to Local office on Jan 9. So point is you can't trust these people, you need to try all avenues available. I suggest you visit your Local office. I haven't seen a case stuck at NBC for more than 5 months..

    Good Luck..

  10. Well now im more confused thanever because i called and they allowed me to do a service request at 4 months and they told me my case was sent to vermont but then transferred to nbc but my receipt number is from nbc and then they told me i should hear something by the 26 and now they say ican be waiting 6-7 months oh yea and i never got a response for my service request which they claimed i would get in 2 weeks and i spoke to a tier 2 and he swore it was at nbc wth is going on !!!!

If it was at NBC, it would have been approved by now. Believe me your case never went to Vermont. DId you go to your local office?

  11. My dear Nola, I filed like the rest of you in november and had a service request done two months later. If your statement holds true, then why mine? Was I part of the exception? I don't think my case was any different than others here.

We all can say where its at, however, if its not in black and white then whatever we say is all assumption based on other's experiences. that's cool cause it has helped.

However, without that black and white, I wouldn't have known my petition was here in vegas and been able to have made an InfoPass appointment. correct me if I'm wrong but you can't even make an InfoPass appointment unless you have a referral ID and that only comes with a service request. Yes, my wife's approved petition came the day before my InfoPass appointment, however, at least I knew it was in vegas.

I'd say to those to have been waiting, do a "service request" and take it from there. The worst thing that can happen is they tell you it hasn't been moved from NBC or they have to wait another 3 months before they can process a service request.

Believe me folks, nola123 is one the most knowledgable on this blog site and most of the time I wouldn't disagree with her but on this I respectfully will hehehe...

You can make infopass appointment without referral ID

  12. ^

It wouldn't let me quote you!

Yep, that's pretty much what he said. He was explaining the whole process about how countries receive so many visa numbers compared to the number of applicants which is why wait times are different I guess. I was just confused because a lot of the petitions or receipt numbers after mine have already been approved. I was more curious to see if it was actually still at NBC or transferred or lost or stolen or whatever! And yes, my office is Atlanta :(

Dosn't have to do with which country you come from not at i130 level. You should let your congressman know that... Such a absurd statement from his office.

they have time for people entering illegally but ignoring people who came here legally and trying to do the right thing legally...

  13. guys thank you for all answers, I'm really feeling better now. Everything is accurate and yes she is a US citizen, as I said this is a real marriage, we are a family and we have been living together more than 18 months from now. We are living with her grandmother. She is old and was living by herself and offered us to move in her house to help her for daily stuff also would help us to fix our financials by the time by not having all these bills, rent etc..( that's how we are able to start preparation of AOS ) anyways, can you give me some examples about how this sworn affidavits could be. I think I can get from few people attended our ceremony, has knowledge about us etc. Do they have to be notarized?

@Billyk, you should visit Turkey. I know everybody would say my country is the most beautiful country to visit, but I mean it. If you are interested in with history, natural wonders/beauties Turkey is the best place you can visit. But you need to plan a long journey ( like a month or so ) because there is soo much to see. Just Istanbul would take your 2 weeks think about the rest :) Hope you will.

You shouldn't worry too much as your wife is US Citizen. I suggest you keep records from bank saying that they could not open joint account because of no SSN and no valid ID, it will at least provide a proof that you genuinely tried everything possibly you can. I suggest you take a written letter from previous landlord saying that they could not include your name because of no SSN.

Keep all receipts, phone bills and other proofs which shows you were living at that address. Take letters from neighbors that you were living there.

Good luck and dont worry too much. There are worst cases out there but still people manage to get through.

  14. Hello,

We are November filers. My husband and I just joined this site. We filed my I-130 late November, and we received our NOA 1 a couple of days later- and since then have been in the land of "initial review". NOA 1 seem to be from NBC office. Reading some stories on these forums, we find that many that had filed a couple of months after we did, have been already approved. I wonder how cases are organised. will the papers stay at the NBC ofice, or be moved to a local office of my husbands state- or the lawyers state. This is all so frustrating- though we see that many are in the same situation.

Welcome to VJ.. Good Luck on your journey.

    Please update your timeline...

No office in Alabama, you have to go to -> 2150 Parklake Drive, Atlanta, Georgia 30345.

Atlanta local office is all tied up.. so its kinda going slow right now, but you should definitely call USCIS, talk to Tier2 officer and ask specifically if your case is currently at Local office or not. If your case was at NBC, would have been approved by now, so most likely your case is currently being processed at Atlanta office.

Here find thread on Atlanta Transfer

  15. If the field office of the lawyer, it would be Atlanta- what the field office for Alabama would be, I am honestly not sure.

thank you so much for the advice Darnell. I am having a hard time tryingto figure out this site and all of these different pages I guess :)
