    No need to apologise. This has come up in the past many times, and will do again. Do not let the naysayers dampen your happiness in this.
    People seem to have the idea, however silly, that someone else getting approved quickly in some way slows them down. That there is some imaginary line we are all standing in, and these people who get quick approvals are somehow butting in ahead of others. That THEY were there first. Which is utter nonsense. There is no way to compare one persons case against another, every last one has it's own idiosyncrasies, and every last one gets dealt with in a singular way, sometimes it takes no time at all, and other cases take quite a lot of time indeed.
    I remember being a K1 filer very well. We were last in our group, and that has followed me up til ROC. Always last in any queue. And after finally getting our NOA2 on the K1, we were yanked out of line and placed in 'random' AP at NVC, which was not before common practice. Held up there a further almost 2 months, and missed Christmas together, thank you very much. But I didn't feel that any of that gave me the right to moan about other people getting in some perceived line 'ahead' of me. I congratulated every last one of them, and meant it. It's what adult grown up people do.
    I think what disturbs me most of all, is this desire to pour scorn and disapproval on the lucky few who whiz through the process with the rally cry of ' it's not fair!!!" "They filed after we did!' " They are lucky and got the faster service center!"
    Life isn't fair. It is what it is. When your number comes up with USCIS, it comes up. Until that time, try and maintain a little dignity.
    What also isn't fair is to try and subdue the joy of people who have successfully run the gauntlet, even if it appears that they started after you did. Why do we need to begrudge those people their happiness? Why do some think it is acceptable to put a lid posts like that, or warn the poster that they can be happy, just not too happy, and scold them that they had better watch their words so as not of upset or annoy or provoke the ones who are still waiting?

    I am engaged to a white guy too from US.. I am a filipina and I dislike filipina that uses american men a ticket meal just for them to get what they want when they arrived in the US... I'm blessed to have found a Christian man. we both have the same beliefs and church goer too. I am 100% sure that I am marrying this man for LOVE and not other else.. I hope your wife will realized what she did and let go the most important man in her life that loved her whole heartedly.. but for me mister, i would encourage you to file a divorce... and cut all the benefits that she may be getting from you. someone like her doesn't deserved a good man like you..

    Oh the wonders of plagiarism, mixed with shameless insincerity. This was the line that gave it away for me: "Perhaps I just have a very flawed sense of humor or my terrible read of situations. Whatever the cause for my bad behavior, it was inexcusable. " As a teacher I'm kinda used to noting words, terms and expressions that could only be used at a certain level of mastery of the English language. And foreverwaiting sleuthed out one source...World of Warcraft. I may have found the other.

    Dear {Receiver}
    I’m so very sorry for what happened the other day. You know me: I would never intentionally do something like that if I knew that it would end up being a {hurtful, embarrassing, awkward, etc…} situation.
    I can’t say what made me do something so silly. Perhaps I just have a very flawed sense of humor or my terrible read of situations. Whatever the cause for my bad behavior, it was inexcusable.
    Hopefully, this will be one of things we look back to and laugh. Until then, I’m willing to do everything I can to make it up to you! Please get back to me whenever you have a moment and we can talk about it.
    Sincerely,
    {Sender}
    I suppose using a bunch of "sorry letter templates" and claiming it as your own on a forum isn't evil or criminal...but regardless, it sure does feel much less sincere when you know it was copied and pasted randomly from the web, instead of "from the heart." What's ironically funny is when you google this choice plagiarized sentence, "Anyways, In the future, I have every intention of curbing my thoughtless actions and learn to adjust my behavior befitting the environment and situation and If there was any good that came out of this unfortunate experience, it is that I have grown and learned alternative approaches to these situations."... one of the first 3 websites that comes up in one about Narcissism... I wash my hands of this character.

    Please accept my most sincere apology for my behavior in the above mentioned Icecrown Pug run. It was extremely inappropriate, immature and i am really sorry for putting you and everyone else in this situation. I know i should have gone about things differently and handled it all better. I have realized how wrong I was in leaving you there especially after promising a full run. It was my fault and i take full responsibility for it. I understand that there is no excuse for that and I can only say how truly sorry I am.
    It was embarrassing, but if there was any good that came out of this unfortunate experience, it is that I have grown and learned to find alternative approaches to theese situations. In the future, I have every intention of curbing my thoughtless actions and to adjust my behavior befitting the enviroment and situation. I can promise you that I will never do this again.
    I can understand that it may be difficult for you to accept my apology, but i hope that this apology might help make things better and hopefully put this matter behind us. If there is anything i could do for You, please contact me at your convenience ingame.
    Sincerely,
    Max

    The CO may want to see evidence of a strong relationship to be sure that you will not soon be ex spouse #7 and become a public charge.
    Your other post talks about a pre-nup, so don't expect any sort of $$ should a divorce happen. The USC spouse likely has experience protecting assets in family court proceedings. And social services are limited when a green card holder.
    Any immigrant moving far far away to live with someone that has been divorced that many times should have a back up plan.
    Best of luck.

    this is INCORRECT. As long as the co sponsor is domiciled in the US and when he files taxes files foreign earned income he can be the co sponsor. I know for a fact it's true because it's true for my co sponsor. My husband just received his visa and did not have a problem, my co sponsor was accepted with flying colors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And who are you to pass judgement on this person? Seriously? Did you ever think that perhaps the OP is a student or a recent graduate? This forum is for people who need help on their journey. Grow up and keep your opinions to yourself.

    I didn't include that many photos, but I organized them by the trip. I made 2 trips to Colombia in March and May and so one grouping of photos was from March, the other from May. Don't worry too much about how you organize it, as long as the pertinent information is on the back: who is in it, where is it, when is it.

    Ying arrived at O'Hare yesterday! Interesting POE experience. Customs officer makes us wait 2 hours. He was much tougher on her than the Guangzhou interview. She had to wait a long time, and then the interview was over 10 minutes, maybe enen 15 (consulate interview was all of 5 minutes!). He asked her questions about my ex wife, and why we broke up, and during the interview asked her 3 different times about how we met, like he was trying to see if he could trip her up. She did get through, and we are together now, but I am very angry about the experience she was put through.
    My comments - the time for the tough interview is at the consulate, before the foreign national has quit their job, sold off their house and possessions, said goodbye to everyone, and bought a plane ticket of over a thousand dollars, not at the POE. That is what the Consulate interview is for, to determine that the immigrant is on solid ground and truely qualifies, and the immigrant is warned not to quit job or make other arrangements until they get the visa, rightfully so. But after they have gone through the long visa process and all the checks they have gone through already, and they are approved and get the visa, for the Customs person to try to deny them entry at the POE is an extreme disservice to any immigrant. I think this part of the process is broken! Just my thoughts.
    Anyway, thanks again to this wonderful site and all the wonderful, helpful people during the Visa Journey. I will still be using this great site for AOS advice, etc., so I'm not done yet.....

    This was uncalled for. There were a lot of people who wrote about disappointment about how slow things are going at vsc. It's only natural that when they get approved, either it's at vsc or csc, they should express their happiness with others.
    And have respect for what? Nobody died. They are all getting there, slower or faster.
    So, no need for this thread, in my opinion.
    Cheers!

    Why would a stranger agree to a contract with the US government concerning a person they did not know? Would you sign a contract with the government to sponsor my spouse and be liable if she collected any sort of government assistance?
    Most of us here (myself included) on VJ "imported" a spouse through K or CR/IR visas. Just using a term, not making accusations.
