jessicaruizw got a reaction from Yumburger in How to send pictures with my I-130
honestly i just printed mine out on regular old paper...i found it easier to type the information, and that way i didn´t have to worry about stapling or gluing the pics. also the overall weight of your package is smaller. i got approved no problem.
imho, i don´t think there is a specific format they really care about, i think whatever is easiest for you to send and thinking about what is easiest for them to review and archive.

Ages past, in China at the Guangzhou IV Unit,
a petitioner would be asked to submit a video of him speaking Mandarin, either alone or with her,
    after the interview,
    when the visa was denied.
It's been rare, and I've not read of it happening these last two-three years, but ..
Language , and use of language, is best covered in an evolution of relationship letter,
see my example at EOR - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=260331&view=findpost&p=3995116
Perhaps you can craft an EOR that covers the language usage between you two?

jessicaruizw got a reaction from ebe in Chile - Medical Exam etc
hey....so when i we finished at NVC and then started our wait for the interview, i could find no info regarding medical exams in chile (except direct contact with other chilean members). So I thought I would post a topic about my experience.
In early november we got our Dec 12th interview date assigned (via email from NVC). we immediately started calling the docs (grossman and passalacqua) to set up the medical as we weren´t sure how far in advance it needed to be. We called using the info on the embassy website which isn´t correct (at least for grossman).
    updated #s - passalacqua - 204-7071 / 225-3891, cel - 06-213-8391
    grossman - 212-9253 / 228-0119
long story short, some people recommended passalacqua, and more people recommended dra. grossman. we decided to go with grossman bc passalacqua never answered the phone (most likely bc we had the old number, lol). anyway the secretary is a bit pesada. she only could offer us friday afternoon slots, so we took one 2 weeks prior to the interview date. it wat at 3 pm so we asked and asked about whether we would be able to get all the exams done that same afternoon (we are from conce) and she assured both me and my husband when he called that yes, no problem.
well, about a week before the medical we emailed the embassy to see if we needed any special papers (i heard conflicting info about whether the doc had the ordenes medicos or not). at first they said yes we needed the forms and they would mail them, but when we said we had dra. grossman, they said she should have them but we were welcome to pick them up at the embassy if we wished, and "OH PS here is your interview letter which you need the day of the interview." now i had alwyas thought the NVC letterwas the interview letter, so it was a good thing we emaield them!! not wanting to risk anything, we went to the embassy to pick up the forms the day of the medical. this was a good idea bc they also gave us a printed interview letter which we had to take to the doc to timbrar (again, i didn´t realy know this).
not wanting to arrive late to our appt in the afternoon, we decided to scope out the address in the morning. lo and behold we get there and the secretary is like, "we have been trying and trying to call you1!!" turns out they wanted us to come in earlier in the morning since the doc realized that 3pm might be a little late for a friday afternoon to get all the tests done. NO DUH
luckily the doc was able to come back a little earlier so we could get everything done. Dra. grossman is exceptionally nice and understanding. shes there to help you get the job done, but with a very pleasant demeanor. long story short - she had the forms, but we used the ones we picked up from the embassy anyway, she asked him a series of questions (which by going to the embassy we were able to get a sneak peek of, nothing surprising). if you have read the CDC technical instructions for panel physicians, you know what to expect.
they ask you if you have any health problems (heart, lung, diability etc), if you have a history of violent behavior, if you are addicted to drugs, etc.
she checked my husbands vaccination records, and luckily he didn´t need any! she sent us in the smae building to get the blood drawn for RPR, but then the last thing was the chest x-rays. her office is at 4100 apoquindo, en las condes. the chest xrays have to be taken at plaza italia, and the radiologist only works mornings . so we were able to get the films taken by the tech, but the radiologist couldnt fill out the forms untill monday. so dra. grossman told us to just come 1 day prior to interview and pick up the xrays and forms from the radiologist, then head to her building and she could give us the complete packet.
    long story short -
the medical costs 90.000 cash unless you need vaccines which are extra. the labwork and the xrays are included in the 90.000. she gave me aboleta, so this week I am going to try and see if my isapre will reimburse me something.
you need to bring 2 of those same passport photos we have been turning in with every app, lol. don´t forget them!
if you book with dra. grossman, don´t let the secretary "poo-poo" you into accepting an appointment you know won´t work. I would see if you can get one in the morning, and find out the exact schedule of the radiologist (dra. grossman has the number of his office). if you are a santiaguino, this isn´t a problem, but for gente from the regiones, every extra night is more hotel, food, metro costs). etc.
email the embassy and ask if you need anything else before the interview, even if your NVC letter says you are good to go.
    hope this helps someone!

Alright folks. Just wanted to drop by and let yinz know I have my plane tickets booked.
I'll leave Stockholm (Arlanda Airport) at 10:40 AM on Sunday, December 23rd.
POE will be at Newark. I have about a 2,5 hour layover. Fligth to Pittsburgh, PA leaves at 4:20 and arrives at Pixburgh In'ernashn'l Airport n'at at 5:46 PM. and the good thing is in case 2,5 hours isn't enough at Newark, there are two more flights to Pittsburgh that evening.
    That is all.

jessicaruizw reacted to GlobeHopperMama in I-601 does not apply, but asked to file....
Which embassy was this? I've recently discovered that sometimes the consular officials determining inadmissibility are more clueless than others about the INA and what it means.
INA 212a9a does not require an I-601 waiver, it requires an I-212 waiver, but I don't believe it should apply to your case anyway because it's for those who were formally deported and if you took Voluntary Departure, you avoid that whole issue in the first place. My suspicion is just that the embassy is terribly confused. If your lawyer is unable to get them to review the decision, then as previously mentioned, an Advisory Opinion with the department of State in Washington is in order, but unfortunately only an attorney can file this, you can't do it on your own. At this point I would be urging the attorney to go in that direction since it seems the embassy is currently unresponsive.

Aha! KDubovik, I can still get into my DS-260! So, I'm going to take my own screen shots of the DS-260 later this weekend when I have free time. I won't be able to get screen shots of all possible answers as I can't edit the form (my answers are still all there), but I'm guessing you'll be answering the same as me in relation to most questions, so it should be okay. Once I upload it, you can then print it out and fill it out as a practice run. Then, when it's time for you to fill out the DS-260, you'll already have all the answers!

jessicaruizw reacted to amarcho1 in my hhusband finally got his visa and will be coming soon
i would like to share some good news with people in this forum and at the same time give some advice to people that are still waiting.
our case took almost 4 years from our marriage to getting the visa. the i 130 was first returned to the uscis which sent us NOIR, then we sent more evidence but the uscis still denied the case because mainly i have not visited my husband. so we filed an appeal to the immigration court of appeal which advised the uscis to change its decision because it was baseless and dont have any reason to deny us.
then the USCIS REAFFIRMED the i 130 to and sent it to casablanca. my husband went for a second interview. the next day they called him and asked him to come over and pick his passport . at that time he was told that he needed a waiver. when i called the consulate they would not tell me anything except that the waiver is for misrepresentation. i came here to this forum and posted a post and almost everbody said to talk to your husband and he should khow. i talked to him so many time and he could not recollect any misrepresentation. the majority of people that responded to my post were saying that if the consulate says it is misrepresentation it is misrepresentation and you need to file asap. i could not accept it because it does not make sense so i kept e.mailing and calling the consulate to tell me exactly what is the misrepresentation. tell me what did my husband do that you classify as misrepresentation. ( just fyi it cost 4500 dollars to file for a misrepresentation) . i kept e.mailing and calling and finally they e.mailed me back saying that they are reviewing my husband's case and are in the process of fixing the problem. i sensed that they have no proof and that it was a mistake so i contacted my senator and a week later they called my husband and asked him to bring tax forms and the physical. 2 weeks later they called him and told him to come pick your VISA.
the bottom line is : 1. dont give up
    2. don't take any decision by the consulate for granted and ask questions and ask them for the reason why they made their decision. it is very likely that there is a mistakes somewhere.
    3. for people that respond to posts, be supportive and be openminded. nothing is set in stones and every situation is unique.

The stated purpose of the "Progress Reports" forum is for case updates, when someone posts a thread indicating an approval at some point in the process. The "Progress Reports" forum is an appropriate place to do so, no separate "congrats" forum is needed. People can choose to read or ignore such threads and they can choose to post or not to post in such threads.
