He's still here but he's not my brother. I was asking for someone else. Don't be so shock that he's still here either poeple are living in the US undocumented I really don't understand how they do that but we all know it. I'm just trying to get some info for him. My filing days are over. He has a brother that's a citizen and a mother with a green card and they are hoping that she can file for him. I'm just trying to get the info to prove them wrong really as I suspect.

You are not being selfish. I Had some similar issues with my husband trying to get his family to come stay with us too until they can get jobs.. Thank God I fought that decision and won!!! I too felt selfish. But at the end of the day it's your mental state, your money because basically you will be taking care of them until the sister gets a job that could take a while because she doesn't have a authorization to work anyways, right? , all your bills will go up..no privacy.and the mother won't have insurance so what's the point... sit down and talk to your wife about all your concerns.

Why do people even say the want to move here like its an easy process????

Yup, it's your fault, after all you were the "rich American" (always unsaid) so why would you ever need to be so negative?

Simply get the big box full of $100 bills that you've hidden in the closet and show it, after all, they all  know it's there.  Economic problem will be solved.

You wrote: "For some context, No matter what we do with them...like planning vacations for example, they never think things through, or make good plans.  It's always just a blind leap and hoping they figure it out along the way."

Ah, you are learning fast!  No need to plan, no need to consider finance, like Wilkins Micawber knew (in the book David Copperfield, by Dickens )"something will always come up."  Smile, and take a leap...  faith and all...

Privacy?  Well, if you really need privacy there's always the bathroom...

The reality: They will never, ever see it from a logical point of view, it's simply not within their cultural capability.  Culturally, planning is not needed; money will come up when necessary;  and well, at least 12 can sleep in your bedroom (only if necessary).

Of course, we all see that you'll go crazy, and likely leave for an extended trip to the Himalayas unless you say.......hmmm....(never, ever say "no,") just say: "it's a neat idea, we can't do it this year, so let's put it off and think about it next year.."  If necessary, rinse and repeat.

And i would file I-485 after I130 has been approved right?

I just called and was advised that I can send in the required documents before getting the email/letter as long as I have a cover letter with my case #.
I will be emailing the documents to NVC by the end of the week.

I understand what you are asking and I'm not an expert at this thing but I think you answered your own question. If I were to say the average time is one month or two months it doesn't matter much because everyone's case is different and while some wait 2 weeks or months you could only wait two days or a week or more.

Nay05 got a reaction from Mabenita in I-130 transferred to local office
So I'm losing my mind waiting to hear something about my case. I got NOA1 in july 2014 and I didn't hear anything again until dec 16 2014; my status online stated that my case was transferred to a local office.
I going out of mind because a lot of people who filed the same time as me already got approvals. I didn't even receive a notice stating this transfer. Anyways, im waiting ont his interview; its coming close to end of March im so frustrated that I have to wait so long and still no interview date. Im worried because I don't know why they need an interview and what they will ask me. I know I have to wait and see but anyone been through anything similar?
