stronger got a reaction from yachachiq12 in PAPERS TRANSLATE #2
I myself had all the documents translated. However, after speaking with the consulate via email, they told me that translations are only required when a language other than Turkish. If you still want to get them translated, you do not need to have it notarized, just a declaration from the person translating that they speak both languages fluently.

stronger reacted to Canadian in GA in Moral Support Needed!
all,
I know people can get out of shape, with the whole "im American #######" and I know the OP didn't mean to insult anyone. as most know as in a recent post, America was built by immigration, unless you were part of that original tribe (can't think of the name for the life of me) then somewhere down the line in your family, was an immigrant.
I am a little sensitive with that subject, as myself, a green card holder, and here legally, and working and paying taxes, I had a run in with one of those arrogant Americans who think that "he deserves something" for being American, being a Canadian, living in the south, I have a bit ob an accent, and get "where are you from " daily, well i was interviewing him for a job, yes interviewing him, and he asked me that question, and he boldly told me to go home, and im not welcome here, and that I am taking jobs away from the Americans. and he deserves a job before I do. well needless to say, I did not give him that job, and well, it did rub me the wrong way, so i do get a little hyper when i see posts when at first you think someone saying "i'm American" i deserve something. i know the OP didn't mean it that way, but were all here in the same boat, and alot are sensitive, so, on both sides, understand each other, and just quit, before it gets ugly. so much negativity here on this site lately. were here for "support" not arguing or belittling someone.
i know i kind of blabbered but i wanted to put my word in. for both the Americans, (not the idiots who think they are owed something, as they need to look at their family tree) and for us "immigrants" who came here for love, and love only.

SOooooooooooo....Katman and I have both seen our timelines move up to before our current dates. According to Mr. Igor...we should hear any day now. Even processing times moved up to 120 days. I am happy to see VSC working hard and efficiently. I'm lonely for my NOA 2. It's been so long since I heard from his cousin NOA 1. Now yes, 1 was good to me...came quickly. I just can't WAIT like a kid on christmas for YOU MR. NOA 2. So...be sweet to us May folk will ya? Amen....I mean thanks. Not talkin to God here. Just a girl looking for good news.

Ok Eve....no disrespect hun. But you HAVE TO do a little research here on your own. You are asking questions for every form and every process. All of these questions can be answered by reading the embassy's instructions and by just doing a quick search via VJ also. You have your NOA 2 and extremely fast I might add. So you're doing fabulous. Just stick with it. Answer every single question and check box on the forms. Overdo if you have to. But you will wear out the folks in this portal and on VJ if you keep asking questions without research.
Best of luck!

stronger got a reaction from Kathryn41 in Combating the "yo mama don't live here" issue
I'm going to play both sides of this. Because I was a stay at home mom for 2 years when my daughter was first born. Being "on" 24 hours a day can be exhausting. You are the complete entertainment for a little person and fail to speak full sentences for long periods of time. I'm not saying he doesn't have time to do chores, but when you feel you cannot turn your back for a minute with the child, your day leaves you and you're like dang...another day gone.
Now I don't know what his days were like back in his home country, but I'm going to assume like my Tolga, life was not easy and you work nearly 100 hours a week for little money. So I would say he understands hard work. He needs an understanding and sympathetic approach. Men never take the nagging or tough approach very kindly or openly. You have to say ...honey...I know you have an important role in being the caregiver for the most important body in our lives. It's draining and difficult. How can we work together to start a new routine?
I promise you...disarm the situation first. THEN you'll get your results.
Just a suggestion. Good luck hun

Wow wasn't that a friendly post. I was suggesting that if they KNEW this, they might have been judgmental. This is not a case of denial due to bankruptcy. And this IS Jamaica.

stronger got a reaction from one...two...tree in Has this story ever turned out well for American man and Russian woman?
Ok...dude you're WAY too paranoid. and that was WAY too long for me to read. I skimmed it. Women and men are different...and I would peg her in a mold. If you say these things to her...I would do what she is doing. And if you are DEMANDING affection, instead of letting her adjust...then she won't give you even a peck. That's women in general. Just imagine moving to a foreign country and leaving everything behind. She's in shock..so is her daughter....and I am willing to bet, your aggressive stance will drive her further away. Give her time to adjust. Be more understanding, she might come around. No more offense or defense. Just be the man she fell for.

stronger got a reaction from LIFE'SJOURNEY in Denied K1 Visa due to filing bankruptcy years ago
This might seem like a random story. However, I visited Jamaica about 4 years ago. and at that time I attended church on the Sunday. This was a 3 hour long service dedicated to women with children out of wedlock and the fathers who don't do enough to support their children. They seem to be pretty prejudice against those who are pregnant before marriage. Even though, from what I gather, many people do not have enough money to have a legal wedding. Sounds like discrimination to me.

Actually, one thing. get your police reports now. They are valid for one year. And they can take a while to get back.

stronger got a reaction from alexandaaron in Pregnant with no health insurance?
You should visit your local health department. They will advise you as to what you should do next. They will never deny a pregnant woman care. They even have doctors there that will check you out and provide you with prenatal vitamins if necessary. Nothing embarassing about looking out for your child.

stronger got a reaction from gigi_a in Anyone here got a green card after divorce from US citizen?
I was married before for 10 years to a US Citizen. I filed 3 years after divorce. If not married, you have to wait for 5 years to file for Citizenship. If married it's only 3.
