  1. your police cert is needed for your medical and at the embassy, photo copy it for the medical they will look at the original and take the copy at the embassy they will take a copy and the original and at the end they will give you back your original copy, i think you also need the original for AOS

(i have done 4 copies of it)

    hope that helps

  2. The more expensive courier fees are just for specific time slots, so you could pay to get it potentially a few hours earlier but other than that there is no way of speeding it up.

Personally I would probably book my flight for two weeks after the interview, with the understanding that I may have to change my plans.

Jock told me there was no option to get it "faster" just earlier. His interview was yesterday and we set up a flight for the 29th. We scheduled it a few weeks ago though with the thinking that it would be cheaper to pay the change fee IF he had to reschedule his flight rather than pay for a ticket just before he intended to fly. And at last look the ticket we got him in now almost twice the price so I am glad we did it this way.

  5. Interview is tomorrow!! Gotta take a deep breath :o

Jock is nervous/anxious and so am I. Cant wait to see the backside of this process

Anyway I'll let you know how it goes when he reports back.

Congressman's assistant e-mailed us with a response from VSC:

"Our records reflect that the file has been forwarded to an Immigration Services Officer for adjudication processing. Accordingly, the petitioner should hear from USCIS in the near future."

    Sounds promising

Happy to see some movement FINALLY for you both :) Please keep us posted on any news or progress

  6. Thanks for the replies everyone. I got an e-mail this morning re-scheduling my appointment for a week tomorrow which is a huge relief.

Is there a link on here for a checklist for the interview? I dread the thought of not bringing something to what is the most important interview of my life!

Great news, glad it worked out for you. I just listed all this the other day here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/318916-interview-checklist-urgent/page__p__4774146#entry4774146

Best of luck at your interview keep us all posted!

  7. Hi

My interview is in London on Wednesday and I am just running through all my stuff to make sure I have everything to travel down tomorrow. Is there a checklist of all the forms I need to take with me just so I can make sure. I am fretting that I will forget something.

    Thanks so much

    Nicky

Hi there, my fiance is going for his interview on Wednesday too!! Good luck :)

    You need to have:

    • 2 US Passport Sized photos
    • Your Passport
    • Your interview letter
    • Your Receipt for paying the visa
    • Copies and originals of your: Birth Certificate, Police Certificate and Divorce Decree (if applicable)Show the originals and give them the copies.
    • Your I-134 affidavit of support document and supporting evidence
    • Copies of forms from your medical (just in case) but dont give up originals you'll need them for AOS.
    • Any proof of relationship evidence that you may want to bring although I hear over and over they don't ask for it. Better to have than not I guess.
    • A debit card or charge card cause the DX Secure courier service does NOT TAKE CASH!

and I think that's it. Keep us posted on what happens please
