  1. Is your question related to filing I-864 or....

If yes, then was your son born while your husband was a US citizen.....

Please be specific about what you want and someone will then be able to help you.

yup my husband is a US citizen when our baby was born... and yes this is w/ regards to my husband's I-864. thanks

and one more thing, our son has a US passport given by US embassy Manila w/ a CRBA certificate... Thank you...

  2. I'm glad someone else made this point as I've seen others confused by this.

There are actually to different "proof of marriage" documents from NSO:

One is the NSO Marriage Certificate or as my wife calls it our Marriage Contract which is the document we both signed just on NSO security paper.

The CEMAR or Certificate of Marriage(s) is basically just a list of all recorded marriages for the subject. I would include previous marriages and annotations of foreign divorce/annulment if there are previous marriages. This is why it's sometimes asked for, to confirm the absence of or proper disposition of previous marriages. In cases with a child it would also show if the child was born out of wedlock which affects other requirements (travel consent & clearance).

    You got it right...

  3. My wife if preparing for her interview in manila philippines.. we are both a little confused on part of it tho... the agency she is useing is telling her to get a CENOMAR..."CERT OF NO MARRIAGE". THE PREPARING FOR THE INTERVEIW DOC'S FROM THE EMBASSY STATES

"CERTIFICATE OF NO MARRIAGE RECORD (CENOMAR). If you have never been married, a CENOMAR (Singleness) issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) and printed on NSO security paper should be submitted. You may call the NSO Information Center at (632) 737-1111 to inquire about securing a CENOMAR or visit their web site at http://www.census.gov.ph."

"IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN MARRIED"

My question is we are married. so does she still need to show a CENOMAR and if so how would we get one being that she is married and it will show up in the NSO files....

    Help need asap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will fill up the CENOMAR form from NSO, and since your wife was already married then the result will be the other way around & that will be the certificate of marriage... or CEMAR... Same process the result will depends upon the real status of the filer :) hope that helps...

  4. No.. it won't have any affect on the approval it just means it will take the normal processing instead of expedite... the approval of the i130 depends upon the information from petitioner/beneficiary etc has nothing to do with expedite request.

ok, thank you... We still don't know if our reason will be granted but we will try... :)

  5. I sent a letter to the California Service Center asking them to expedite my case due to personal circumstances. Two days after they received my letter, my case was approved and I received a hard copy letter in the mail regarding my approval. Now, can I ask the NVC office to expedite my case for the same reasons the CSC did or will that letter be already transferred to the NVC office with my other documents, please?? Thank you!

I'm sorry but what kind of circumstances are they consider for the case to be expedited? Thanks

  6. You can send a letter from anywhere in the world if you like

In case you receive an RFE you have to include the blue letter that comes with the RFE with your response

The more you delay your responses to RFE the more you will wait for your approval

    thanks :)
