  1. Your situation is kinda complicated because it involves 2 different laws from 2 different countries... I'm no expert when it comes to law but I guess your case boils down to the death of the spouse... I believe that the death of the spouse means termination of marriage. I guess you just need to get an advice from NSO just bring whatever documents you got like marriage contract, the divorce paper (if you got one) although it's not valid in PI it's somehow important if you have a possession of it... And the most important thing the death cert. Don't worry I don't think this would cause too much burden on you... As long as you can prove everything right, I'm sure everything will all be good... God bless and good luck on your life's journey I hope you can also find your life's perfect companion in God's perfect time :)

  2. Any good news my fellow July filers? It seems all is quiet in the Western front. But don't worry guys, October is fast approaching! Its the month that's what we've all been waiting for! Hope to hear a lot of approvals from USCIS next month. Godspeed to us all!

I'm still trying to be optimistic and hopeful... I know October will be our month... Let's all be positive about it... Godspeed everyone <3

  3. I tried to checked my status at USCIS website and after logging in this what it says:

    Case Status Retrieval Failed

To view the status of a case, please enter the corresponding application receipt number. The 13-character application receipt number can be found on application notices you have received from the USCIS. It begins with three letters such as (EAC, WAC, LIN, or SRC). Dashes ("-") should be omitted when entering a receipt number. However, all other characters, including asterisks ("*"), can be included if listed on your notice as part of the receipt number.

Listed above are the possible steps an application or petition may go through during processing. Not every application or petition will spend time in each of these steps. Once you enter your receipt number you will see the steps that will always be required for that particular application or petition. The step in the process where your case is currently located will be highlighted. Other steps will appear if your case requires that particular step.

Help I don't know what is it :(

  4. I sent it as soon as I got my Case number and IIN and provided them with our email addresses. Also check if you are able to login to the payment portal and pay the AOS fee (use petitoner, Case number and IIN to login) https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx

I guess the NVC has a new way of processing the papers... You cannot send them the choice of agent without paying the fee first. I'm not certain though... I hope some members can shed some light for this issue...

  5. April 2012 is way too far sis. I'd still want to hope that our earliest possible interview will be January or Feb next year. hehe :) Im positive about it! Anyhow, just get ready with the current paystubs of your husband and the most current ITR. Goodluck!

I know sis... I hope it wont take forever for our case to be adjudicated whether in USCIS or NVC :) sis ber months na and I'm claiming a positive results for all of us :)

  6. Yes and you will have to use blank ink pen only to fill the documents (can use blue or black in pen to sign). The I-864 needs to be fill in all capitals but not the DS-230. It is good that you are trying to gather information well in advance but I suggest that you read the instructions, as those may change by the time you get to NVC process.

Thanks I'm really trying to help my husband gathering infos. for he can't do it right now because he's working overseas as a seaman... thanks for always helping out navyK it really means a lot... God bless...
