Waiting to be with the one you love when you should be together is painful. Waiting is hard. But my point is that it doesn't matter how long you wait, whether it's one day, one month or one year, we all have to wait, so we're all in this together. YOU were the one that in your first post said that you were more deserving because you've been waiting longer, when the OP hadn't said anything about her own wait. You misunderstand, and yes, you do appear to be spiteful of others that haven't had to wait as long as you have.
Is it fair that you've had a long wait? No, not at all. No one in here was saying that at all. No one was saying that they needed to be approved before you. No one was saying anything other than the fact that VSC seemed to be slowing down. You're the one that brought up the whole timeline thing.
And to repeat what the OP said again, when it's raining, we all get wet. I'm sorry you've had more rain than others, but you're not the only one here.

Geezzz, sorry for your long wait but is not a matter of who deserves it first or last.
Every situation is different .
We are all on waiting mode and wish that you get your No2 soon and wish the same for us too.

That's just it, the OP wasn't complaining about 3 months waiting, it was the October filer that jumped in and changed the topic of the thread from VSC slowing down its approvals to a: "you've only been waiting 3 months so shut up cause I've been waiting longer" thread.
If people read the OP again, they will see that the post includes ANYONE waiting on VSC and being frustrated by no action on Igor's list.
If you're going to insult someone's English skills, at least learn to spell, it's DICTIONARY, not dictionairy!

OMG! I think there's a lack of reading comprehension over here. I NEVER was complaining JUST ABOUT MYSELF. I just was stating the lack of approvals from VSC over here. Not just for me.
But for sure is not fair to say well I waited more so I deserve first, that's selfish. And I'm not being over here. Just hoping VSC wont slow down again.

I have no idea why it seems VSC is slowing a bit this week, is so discouraging for all of us who are waiting! Maybe is just people isn't updating timelines? I rather prefer thinking this instead of VSC slowing down again! My VJ timeframe from approval is coming soon... let's hope and pray for everybody over here!
PS. Sorry if this bother someone, but I'm bored and exhausted of the whole process so sue me

Well, why don't we let those who are starting the process now forge their own friendships? Why don't we let them lean on each other for support like you did with your friends? Their frustration shouldn't affect you. I just don't understand.

I think the OP was complaining that there were no updates on VSC lately, and it looked like it was slowing down. ANY progress on Igor's list is a blessing for those who are waiting, whether it be 3 months or 10 months. It gives the sense that they are at least processing forms, even if your waiting, you want to know they're doing their jobs.
As to the whole "March filers quit complaining because we deserve it more than you because we've been waiting longer" rant that I've seen in here, isn't that akin to one couple suffering a miscarriage telling another, well, I have had 3 miscarriages and you've only had one so what are you complaining about?
We all had to wait. Some of us more than others, some of us are still waiting. That's the thing, it's no different waiting one day, or one month, or one year, it's gotta happen. So during the waiting process, be civil and stop thinking poor me, I'm more hard done by than anyone on here. This goes for the VSC/CSC ranters too, yes one moves faster than the other, but you don't see anyone saying one deserves it more than the other because their line is slower. That's just pure selfishness.
For all of you who are waiting, or who waited, just know that we all hate this part of it. When it does come, and sometimes surprisingly fast, be happy and thankful that you're getting through. And yes, continue to lament that there are no updates on Igor's list, at least when there is an update, be it for an October filer, or a July filer for that matter, be happy, because it means progress, and progress is good.

eeeeasy killer. that 10 month wait must definitely suck but pullin' everybody else down the drain with you isn't going to get you anywhere.

Please remember that the OP started this discussion with a statement that she was venting. We have all been there and done that, maybe not all on Visa Journey, but somewhere and to someone in our lives. The immigration process is hard and it often appears unfair. Sometimes it very obviously is unfair. It is one thing to intellectually read that the process takes XXX number of days and months at each stage, but it is a totally different thing to experience the waiting emotionally. It can drive even the most rational of us around the bend sometimes. I sure know it did for me a number of times
The OP didn't ask for family planning advice, or life choice advice. She didn't come for political commentary about illegal or legal immigration. She came because she needed to vent. She is stressed, she is unhappy, she if frustrated. I think virtually all of us can appreciate those feelings.
So, instead of jumping on her for venting her frustrations here on this forum among people who honestly should understand and appreciate her situation, instead of trying to blame her or her choices or tell her she doesn't have a right to feel like this because others have waited longer, it is alright just to say 'Yeah, I hear you. It does suck. I hope we all get some good news soon".
This isn't a situation any of us can repair. All we can really do is empathize, support and share. If you are not able to do that, then maybe it would be a better idea just to move on to the next thread and not respond in this one.

I read posts about the process on here, chat with my fellow March filers on Facebook, look up the city I'm going to be living in to see what it's like. Where's the library, where's the best gym, shopping, etc! I research the schools there, the best moving company, I pack, I'm repainting and remodeling in my house to put it up for sale. I'm going to every festival my city is offering, it will be my last chance! I plan to hang out with friends and family more for that reason too!
My fiance and I will download the same movie and watch it at the same time to have movie night. We have made the same meal and eaten it together over skype for date nights. We joke around a lot, cause what else can you do? We pretend that I'm already there sitting with him, and I'll say something routine, like, "oh, I took your jacket to the drycleaners, it will be ready tomorrow if you want to pick it up after work" and silly things like that, just to have a sense of normalcy, even if it is only pretend, it still feels good. One filer on here says she set her computer up with a webcam and falls asleep with it on her and one on him so that they can see each other sleeping if they want.
We have the rest of our lives available with each other, in the grand scale of things, this is a blip in time, it will barely register when you have been together for years. Just use the time together to get to know each other as well as you can. I firmly believe that we know each other better than couples that aren't thousands of miles apart, because we can do little but talk. Whereas if we were closer, there would be other things we'd be doing instead, preventing us from getting to know each other a little, right????
I say, however much the waiting hurts, however hard it is for all of us, and however unfair, or wrong we feel it is, it's really going to be a good thing on retrospect, as we will end up with someone we love, rather than someone we just kinda stuck with. No one goes through this unless they mean it. (sad for those whose fiances might only be marrying them for the green card, but you know what I mean, this is too hard not to be true love. this is too hard not to be worth it in the end.)

Hello my fellow March VJ filers. After all the stress and headaches Ive endured during this journey, I finally got some good news. Berry and I were approved today. After compulsively checking the USCIS website, I checked one last time after having lunch. The site stated I was in Post Decision activity. I exit out of the site and went back again. Surprisingly it said it again. APPROVED!!!!! I couldnt believe my eyes. While in the middle of teaching summer school and having to contain my emotions, I had a teacher step in my room for a few minutes to call Berry. I was crying and he was just as happy as ever. God is good everytime!!! My VJ timeline stated, July 13th -July 30th. I beat them by one week. SO now, work to do, getting my job letter and taxes together. I will be in Jamaica in exactly 30 days, but doubt he will have his interview before then (Im hoping he does, maybe I should braiding my hair some more)? I will bring all the necessary paperwork he needs when I go. Thamks to everyone that's been there for me through the bitching amnd complaining (Carolina - who got approved today also!!!) and Nema. I will continue to pray for the my March filers that you will all be approved by the end of this week. You guys are all awesome

This would be wrong... you have to get legally married within 3 months after his POE (port of entry) in the U.S, so if you get married in Honduras, when you decided to go to U.S, you'd have a problem with it.
Why don't you just wait, get his visa, go to U.S, get legally married IN THE U.S (courthouse, small ceremony, whatever it suits you), and when you get the advance parole to visit honduras you just have another reception? Or a big party to celebrate, or the religious ceremony only there... many ideas, you just can't get legally married out of U.S under a k1 visa.
That's what we'll do, have 2 receptions but the legal marriage of course, it'll be in the U.S.. good chance to use your dress twice! Good luck

Um, what the heck are you doing on the VJ site? Aren't you in the arms of your love this week or something like that? He let you out for air or something?

Well actually its no secret, they show you on dashboard.uscis.gov, we were lucky enough to have filed during the up trend. CSC and VSC alternate. I think the peak for VSC is in July and then the trend will be to slow down and CSC to take the lead in September or so.
Of course people won't be satisfied until they get their NOA2, but I think we'll see a lot more in July and back down to this months level in August. People will argue out of frustration but we're going exactly the way the trend predicted.
So don't forget to cross you fingers, cross your toes, and cross your hair (braid it) as it has been proven that it increases the likeliness of NOA2!

Personally, I believe the whole immigration process is rather flawed - not just K1. Many people are denied visas for ridiculous reasons and other people are given visas who probably should never get one. Many people in other countries are put down and made to feel inferior due our governments policies. Furthermore, many people who are considered illegal often come into the country through a legal process - however, laws are strict and complicated and many times these people don't realize the consequences of overstaying their visa or I-94.
I do not enjoy a government official looking through my private photos and conversations to determine whether I'm in a legit relationship. It's an invasion of privacy. But it's the system and process that we currently have so I will do what I need to do if that is how I can be with the man I love.
Everyone has their own path to love. We all hope that being with the people we love will bring more happiness into our lives. Our goal should be to help as many people obtain this happiness. Happy people are better people, thus making their community, our country and our world a slightly better place.
There is really no need for judgement or bitterness.

The K1 is not designed for people to "get to know" each other. If you dont know if you are ready to spend the rest of your life with this person, please do us all a favor and don't do the K1. It would definitely shorten the number of applications and would speed up the process for those of us who are. There is a tourist Visa for those that arent sure. You can learn alot about someone in 90 days and it could save time and money by bringing out potential problems before jumping into the K1 visa process. My best advice, for this or anyone considering getting married, if you arent 100% sure, DONT Do it! Just my 2 cents.

Ok...To the OP, I'm sorry this happened to you, I can't even imagine how painful it is. But you're a smart woman, and found out everything.. Listen, I can't give you any advice about what to do with your Affidavit of Support - others members did a very good job - but about your heart...
The only thing you can do now is get yourself together, and instead of thinking with your hurted heart, think with your wise brain. No one here can tell you how and when you'll recover from this sad moment, but I'm sure you will heal the scars in your heart and move on and be very happy in the future. What he did, geez... I wouldn't have the guts to just ''ask him'', I'd go crazy really.. but that's how I am, I can't stand people lying to me, virtually cheating? How low is that? But now, even if it seems impossible, BE STRONG.
You need all the support now, and please ignore the stupid off-topic posts on here. Focus on what can help you ok? I wish you good luck and that everything goes well, and in the future you can be very happy.

Yes you should call USCIS that you didn't get your hard copy of your NOA2. I hear you will need that for Adjustment Of Status in the US. Your case status on their web site doesn't matter, that system doesn't work well at all, and for all we know you may be in Initial Review with both of you in the US 50 years from now!

OMG I have heard it all now. I was in Australia and I had a damm 16 hour difference in time with my now husband.And with daylight saving we had 14 hours. Gee you have 1 hour aaww I am sorry but this infuriates me and you are upset because you can't get his Dad to expedite because he works for USCIS.
Somer people on here wait months and some years and they keep their relationship going because they love one another and want to be together. the time apart is a small drop in the bucket on the large scales of things when you will be together for the rest of your lives. Yu need to keep positive is all I know it is hard but it is worth it.
