Apparently not only do you frequently fail at substantiating your outrageous claims, delving into false logic, but now you show an utter disregard for the legal procedures that will continue to exist in capital penalty cases that will only change in terms of sentencing guidelines. What you are doing, as is quite characteristic, is lumping.

Wow that was completely uncalled for, and a false claim.
Usually its unsubstantiated, but I think that may also constitute a personal attack.

My legal AND fair opinion is that these individuals that have grown up in the country, although illegal in immigration status, deserve a chance to couple their very much American upbringing with some kind of mechanism that allows them to 'balance' the negative aspect of their undocumented status due to their parents' actions with the 'positive' of some kind of national service that would 'prove' that they 'deserve' to stay.
This means that people that like to broadbrush everyone that isn't here legally (because they only think of things in one dimension, perhaps) will have to also justify their existence as one 'deserving' of the blessings the American legal, political, and economic system have conveyed upon them by just having been born here.
In my opinion, things like the DREAM Act, if properly explained- far, far away from idiotic rhetoric and legal absolutisms that don't abide by any notions of realism or social fairness, provide for avenues for illegal immigrant children to seek legitimate avenues to citizenship based on 'positive' contributions to the nation.
In my opinion there is also a sizable segment of the native born population that due to its own idiosynchratic laziness, fails to do anything much towards the common good. While I do not seek for their removal from this nation, to perhaps a place where they would learn to appreciate how good they have it here in comparison to so many other places, it would be awesome if they were kicked out of the country and came back as illegals.

Believing that obeying the laws of the land including tax laws is forcing you against your will is anti-American at best and anarchist at worst. But of course, you are entitled to your feelings.

Indeed. This is what happens when you mix a little bit of political hackery with other things.
Better to have them show their worth instead of punishing them. I think a modern society would work so much better if people were rewarded for their positives instead of having the first reaction be instant punishment for their negatives.

I'm a liberal, kind of, although I'm also a fiscal conservative.
I won't claim that illegal immigrants won't do jobs that Americans won't do. I would claim that Americans won't do jobs that are paid way under minimum wage. Yet, if the illegal immigrants are not available to do these jobs anymore, the employers have no other choice than to hire Americans or lawful residents.
It will cost them more, it will thus either reduce their profits or even increase the price of the product itself, but that's the price we, the American public and the consumers, have to be willing to pay if we want to see illegal labor to disappear.
    I am.

I am very glad for your 401K. I am sure nothing bad will ever happen to it. And if it did you would very nobly commit Seppuku, as not to become a burden on the society.

Yes it is me, though I would say I was not treated in the manner you might associate with me. When I was younger I was anti-social and generally shy, its just who I was as a person. However, you are right in saying that American children grow up slower than say India perhaps....and these children ARE growing up in the US if you see my point.
Its nice that you provided your personal experience here, but I wonder how flying in for school at Cornell where you probably have all of your accommodation setup compares to being bused in to say a mexican border town and left to fend for oneself? One might also compare the general safety of Ithaca to a border town and realize that they are very different.

In these type of cases, I put myself in the person's shoes. I imagine myself 17 and everything about me then. If you told me I needed to return to Mexico, I'd rather hide and be homeless in the US. I can imagine my 18 year old self being killed in Mexico in under 2 years and thats not a joke. At 18 I simply could not adapt in time.
Heck at 18 I was a little bit scared to go away to university a few states away.

It seems that instead of calling handouts any "extra" funds received that represent the money which was never put into the system by a particular individual, any government originated payment is lumped under the "handout" label.
So then it follows, that the whole government, including the president receives handouts. Are you a Mayor of a city? You receive a handout. You work in SS office processing SS cards? You receive a handout, shame on you. Scientist working at NASA, NIH or NSF? Give those handouts back. Oh and if you are in the Army... ultimate handout!

Yeah. Social security is a handout? I would have never guessed. I've seen it deducted form my paychecks many times enough. Therefore if I ever get any payments back from SS, how is that a handout? I think it is safe to say that these days anyone receiving Social Security payments for their retirement, is not receiving a handout, but is paid back for the money they contributed to the system. Same goes for the Medicare for the old folks. They paid for it in advance.
Unemployment? That was an insurance paid for by my employer. When you go to see a doctor and pay only $20 because you have a medical insurance, you are not given a handout, are you?
Disability benefits given to those who never worked are probably the only type of wages that could be called a handout.

Correct. There was an obvious fear of a guaranteed filibuster by the GOP. Which was bypassed by other means, due to the GOPs lack of interest in legislating. Jog that memory.

state and local governments wrestling with budget shortfalls slashed 30,000 jobs,
Private employers added 222,000 jobs last month, the most since April.
the percentage of "underemployed" people dropped to 15.9 percent in February. That's the lowest in nearly two years.

Not really. Democracy would be to have a sweeping change like this one go through rigorous debate rather than slipping it into a budget repair bill despite the fact that it has nothing to do with repairing the budget. What's needed to fix the budget - the financial concessions from public employees - are available and have been for some time now. Wanna fix the budget? Do it. It's all in Hosni Walker's hands.
