The emergency is that she loves her husband and he is injured. You sound like a very callous person. Perhaps next time you should resist the urge to respond to a post if you don't have anything worthwhile to contribute.

Why is it not sterotyping of profling when you see one white person out of 3 million with a KKK sticker, but when almost 100% of terrorism is being committed by young Arabic males, and you concentrate your efforts in that area, that is profiling and racist.
85% + of crime in my mid state area is being committed by young African American males. However suspecting or giving them increased scrutiny is racism and profiling. The world has gone mad

Oddly enough there are other exclusive groups, focused solely on the advancement and betterment of "their" people.
One of them will be up for re-election in Nov.
He belonged to the Congressional Black Caucus a group which has refused membership to non-Blacks.
He also spent decades in a church where races played a major factor in theology and daily practice.

Why no slack-jawed out rage there?
Is this a free country or not?
If these people are doing harm to anyone lock them up, otherwise give them the same right-of-association every other group gets.

I think someone should take action, this is awful . I think the National Association for the "Advancement of Colored people ", should appeal to the Black congressional caucus, maybe get a boycott going with the support of the National Black Chamber of commerce. Then encourage the "historically black colleges to rise up in protest and join with the National Black Business council. I think the Association of Black psychologist should examine the impact this will have on the Black youth of today, and enlist the aid of the 100 black Men to help. Hopefully the national association of Black Journalists will cover the events, and the organization of Black Airline Pilots will refuse to fly there.
This kind of segregationist activity cannot be tolerated in today's color blind society

If the current Federal Government understood the constitution (which is apparently doesn't showing certain laws passed and upheld) then it might be worth preserving or trying to salvage.
However we have a limitless government that's controlled by corporate greed.
They've actually managed to convince the Liberals that corporate greed is a good thing by throwing them a few bones in the health care bill. A bill that truly benefits no one really and makes insurance companies money, corporate hospitals money, and of course big pharma money. All of this while at the same time screwing over the older generations and younger generations alike.

    Go ahead and do it.
I did mine before I even had my case number.
The results are valid for one year, but that really doesn't matter for CR1/IR1 as you only need them for the interview at the consulate anyway.

Downside to that approach is he'd have to file tax returns, even if he ended up never coming back to live in the US.

This might be true for a Russian, but probably isn't true for an Australian. I'm from Canada and I went through the border in 2009 to marry my wife. I didn't have a visa or proof of any ties. I was completely honest with CBP that I intended to marry on that trip. The officer just asked me what my plans were afterwards, and I told him that she is planning to come up to Canada to be with me. He didn't put up any sort of fuss and let me through immediately. I'm assuming they are similar with Australians since there probably isn't much fraud from that country either.
That being said, your fiance should bring proof of ties to Australia when she comes. CBP might be getting stricter with their requirements.

Can't speak as to how to cancel the fiance petition, as I haven't had to do that.
As far as getting married while on the VWP and then filing the I-130 - no problem there.... that is exactly what we did. I actually stayed for close to the 90-day VWP allowance, and hand no problems with the process.
If I'm reading correctly, your fiancee - she is the Australian citizen right? Is she intending to change her name after marriage? It may not be a consideration for you, but just wanted to mention that if you get married in the US, and she then wants to change her name in her passport - the Australian Passport office will not accept an overseas marriage certificate as proof of name change. She will have to go to BDM (Births, Deaths and Marriages) and formally change her name in order to be able to change her passport. I found that out the hard way after I got married in the US.
    Good luck

Most people, including me, would be fully agreeable towards prioritizing claims by people from Haiti whose lives have been ruined by the earthquake, no doubt,
even if it meant our own applications would be delayed.
Few people would agree to have their own applications delayed because people who clearly broke the law get priority, as is the case now.
Also, if I recollect correctly, about 30,000 people from Haiti claimed asylum in the US, though I could be wrong, a much smaller number than the 800,000 expected to file now.

Here we pay 590 for what?? an 8-9 month wait from Vermont. These delays are so unreasonable given how high the fees are.
I talked to the folks at Vermont the day before, I'll tell you how it happened. Basically, they say the wait for RoC at Vermont is expected to increase to a year.
I went to hand deliver the RoC package at the VSC at 75 Welden St. At the gate, the guard asked me if I was a "bonded courier" - I said no. He said then he couldnt allow me to enter, but I could drop it off at the Post Office nearby or at UPS pick up point in the Staples store. The guard was friendly and sympathetic, no attitude was shown.
Luckily, as it was lunch break and the weather was perfect, there were lots of employees in and around the parking lot. Everybody there is friendly and courteous, far nicer then the folks at the New York office. I went up to a group of 3 and tried to start a conversation, but they seemed uninterested. Undaunted, I said goodbye and walked over to a group of 4 - 2males and 2 females, and here I was lucky. They were very willing to talk, and said after telling them I am in the RoC phase, they told me their workload is increasing by the week, and they don't have funding to increase the staff.
When asked, they stated there is little chance of sharing their workload with CSC or field offices as these RoC filings do not fall within the high priority pending cases.
They also added - and this is the important part - that there are lots of talk going on about Obama's recent decision to allow young illegals to work legally - and they will start accepting applications from the illegals within 60 days, from the date Obama made that announcement. They also said they have been directed to process this oncoming tsunami of applications - they expect uscis to be flooded with 800,000+ applications - on a top priority basis, and will be most likely diverting staff from other immigration applications to processing these.
So here we are....we, the law abiding folks get kicked to the back of the queue, while the folks whose parents break the law and enter illegally, now get rushed to the front of the line. Fantastic! Way to go, Obama! You sure will win my USC spouses's vote!

    Congrats on your NOA2.
Just wanted to make mention of one thing, in case you aren't aware of it. Sorry to say, but almost all men from MENA (Middle East and North Africa) countries get placed on AP (Administrative Processing) after interview. This can delay your husband's arrival by a couple months to possibly a year or more. Not trying to upset you, but it's probably unlikely that he will be in the US by the time you are due.
If you haven't already, check out what others from Egypt have been through. Their experiences and advice will be invaluable.
Best of luck for the rest of the visa process and for you, your husband and your baby

KLS2010 reacted to Cathi in Any crazy expedite options for I-129 / I-130 apps?
WOW is all I can say....calling and bothering the USCIS constantly when you just filed and taking all of these actions isn't going to do you a bit of good. It might hurt your case as it will end up at the bottom of some pile somewhere every time they pull it. There are people who file who have valid reasons for expedite requests and many times are denied expedites...and may I ask how old you are? Because you sound like a spoiled teenager who is used to getting everything they want just because they make a little noise. Be like everyone else and wait your turn.

I'm a little confused. How long have you been married?
You say it's been three months and he has no money. I don't think three months is a very long time to try to work through something with a person you love.
Although, you mentioned that he couldn't get a visa because of back child support he owes? Didn't that suggest to you that he might fall into the "deadbeat" category?
So, is he a wonderful person that you're in love with, who's just going through a bad patch? Or, is he a lazy deadbeat who is taking advantage of you and won't ever change?
If the first, you owe it to him and your marriage to try to get through this. If the second, cut your losses and file for divorce. It's not that expensive. I did mine attorney-free.

Did you visit him during your courtship?
Because he doesn't have money adn perhaps he is depressed? I think your statement is a disservice to those unfrotunate folks who are in real abusive relationships. It seems that the cutsie things nowadays on VJ is to throw the a word around on threads.
Madam, you're not from Gambia, you do have something to go back to if you so wish. You have your Daughter and you can quickly set up again in the UK.
Additionally, you validated your feelings by a one sided conversation on an internet forum. I think he deserves better and you should probably see a maarraige counsellor. Some folks have recovered from worse.
    Good luck.

Not quite. You see, in order to be a state resident (at least in this here state), you'd have to first be a lawful resident in this country. These folks are not exactly residents in this country. Florida is very specific about this in it's eligibility requirements for in-state tuition.
