Hi all, I have read and read until I can not read anymore, so I need your advice please. Quick recap, married my American husband in September 2023, I have been back and forwards to the states over the past 2 years, staying 6 months at a time. My husband brought us a house in 2021, while I was there I started renovations, decorating, ripping old bathrooms outs, nothing major. After we got married, a few months later we returned to the UK for our honeymoon and it was at this point that we decided that we would apply for my green card and that I would remain in the UK while this process took place. He left and before we knew it it was February. We were extremely naive about this whole process and honestly hadn't really looked into all that in entailed, he filed the I-130 in February. While I was living there I was obviously helping pay bills, now I am back in the Uk, I have my own bills, but without me helping towards the mortgage he now risks losing the house. This was supposed to be our forever home and I am devastated. We thought the process of the green card would take like 3-4 months, I know, please do not come at me, neither of us have been in this situation before so yes were were very, very blind to it all! Would the risk of losing the house be enough to expedite the process. My husband has a great job and earns enough to support me, but not if he has to cover the mortgage and bills all alone. (Not that I would ever expect him to keep me) I send what I can but living separately, obviously means twice the bills now. I m so worried and just want to be back there to support my husband but is this reason enough to expedite the case?

Unfortunately, I have decided that I no longer wish to continue with my marriage. My husband has done some things that I just can t forgive. We are in the ROC phase - we filed for ROC last summer, and I received the 4 year green card extension while USCIS makes a decision on my case. I have a few questions: - My understanding is that I will switch my ROC application to a waiver filing - is that correct? - At what point do I notify USCIS of this? Is it when I have the divorce decree or sometime before? - What documents (if any) should I save down for the rest of ROC and for naturalization? I have copies of all my immigration paperwork filed to date. Is there any additional evidence / ID documents it would be wise to make a copy of before filing for divorce? I do worry that the divorce will become messy + my husband won t be cooperative if there s anything I need down the line. - Anything else I should know about the ROC process? thanks in advance

Hello, I just finished the I-130 myself and I am wondering can I have someone review my application before I submit ? I did the application with my wife and we would like for someone to review our portal with all of the documents we uploaded before we officially submit. Would reaching out to an immigration lawyer be the right move or are there other ways to have this application reviewed in the portal ? Thank you!

Hi - I was DQ on 25th March 2024 and am waiting eagerly for my appointment at the embassy. Can anyone tell me how we get notified of the appointment - is it by letter or email? I am hoping to find out within the next week or 2. Also - from anyone else's experiences, how long did it take to get the notification of appointment Many thanks in advance

Seeing there are lots questioning the USCIS website timeline and the times being all over the place, some long, some very short....I thought I would make this post to follow along with any updates on what I'm getting in 'myprogress' tab. The advice given here was that it currently takes about a year for the I130 process. I'm posting this in hopes that it will help others who were given very short timelines see that it's not always accurate. I have seen others say that sometimes they can be processed sooner but that doesn't seem to be the usual case. There's always hope though, right? Anyway, as I go along with my application, I will update my data here to keep it current until my I130 is completed. As you can see, my dates are all over the place. My visa journey website estimate for I130 March 9-28 2025 US citizen moved back from the UK to apply for the I130 online Married 21 years as of 2024 I-130 March 18, 2024 Application submitted online I-130 March 18, 2024 NOA1, PD USCIS MyProgress: March 18, 2024--2 Months April 12, 2024--2 Weeks April 15, 2024--3 Weeks April 22, 2024--2 Months
