US Immigration from United Kingdom

Morning! I don t know where to start this post as I can t find a Travel area. Sorry for that.

so, here I am, we arrived yesterday at Heathrow airport and stayed overnight at our hotel.

At the correct time I attempted to check in with Iceland air. First leg of the trip, to Iceland, fine. Second part of the trip they won t allow me to check in.

the message the app gives is about seeking permission to enter the USA first.

i went to a chat with an officer of Iceland air and she was very unhelpful, only say I can today go check in at the desk.

which means I will be one of the last ones to check in, in a possibly overbooked flight, and won t be able to order a meal either in advance.

I don t think they will ask for an ESTA visa just to travel?

we are going at 10 am for check in and flight is at 12:50.

I just received notification six days before my ceremony that it has been cancelled. The letter says "at your request", which I certainly did not request. I was literally six days away from all of this being over and now I'm back in the queue with no idea of when it is going to be rescheduled too. I had family members reschedule trips at no small cost to be able to attend. This is unbelievably unprofessional and beyond a joke.

When I called to ask what was going on (saying Infopass was the only way to speak to a human) they told me they can cancel due to a "backlog" or officer case load. It's literally like they don't care about immigrants (who are about to be US citizens) at all.

Me again! Hoping someone can clarify a point for me again as I'm unable to locate anything online myself: my husband and I are now legally married, and are going to be getting our marriage license recorded with the county clerk later this week. What is the timeframe for us to apply for change of status for me before I'm forced to otherwise leave the US again? Is it still within the 90 day period the K1 visa covers, or?

If you could cite your sources, too, I would appreciate it.

we are leaving on the 13th June and I have two burning questions.

one, I am flying to the USA through Iceland. So that huge package with the visa stuff is to be given at Heathrow, or in Iceland when I am flying to the USA?

second question, I had 40 boxes of my own belongings sent through Sherpr who then uses Fed ex. Due to lack of space in the van, when collecting boxes, they collected 20 one day and 20 the day after.

the first twenty boxes are delivered, but the second lot arrived and got stuck at the final city of my boyfriend, and all we know after hundreds of calls, emails etc is that they are delayed, stuck at clearance, but we don t know why.

when I tried to call Fed ex at their number it days I don t have permission to access that number. I am not registered with them.

mh delivery people, Sherpr, have been unable to find out why the goods are not moving.

i think it s because the master box which has the complete list of all 40 boxes has been delivered the day before. So now they are looking for the master box of the other 20 but of course it doesn t exist.

i resent the list just for the second lot, to my delivery people and to Fed ex, and I heard nothing

is there any way of going to the Laramie Wyoming depot which is in a secret location and just tell them what is going on? It s easier to get on a call with the Prince!

Hey everyone, I recently travelled to America with my wife and daughter and we ve decided we d like to try and make it our home.

I ve spoken to a couple of immigration lawyers but they pretty much told me everything Google already had, and charged me for the pleasure!

I would really appreciate any help and information towards getting a work visa and/or how to apply for one etc.

I work in heavy plant and construction and my wife is a hairdresser.

Any information would be hugely appreciated.
