hi there! So, I arrived in the USA a month ago, got married, and now preparing documents for adjustment of status. We went to this link: Form I-485 https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-485.pdf. I filled the form, saving it with a new name and then left my computer for one day. When I returned, the form stopped opening. All I see is a bank pdf document telling me that the doc is password protected. I tried every possible password from the USCIS account and the back end one, but nothing works. I checked the site and there isn't an option for me to fill the form online in any way now. Very frustrated as it took me hours to fill this form. I am sure I am missing something here? I would love to learn how you fixed the issue. I am using an iMac running safari if this is any help. Thanks!

Hello - I have received my welcome letter from the US embassy in london inviting me to book medicals and interview etc, there is no time frame for these and wondered if anyone knew how soon you need to action these? I only ask as my son will be travelling all summer with his father and won t be available to attend his medical or interview until late September. Would this be an issue? also - does anyone have any helpful advice on what to do or not do once we are approved and filing for AOS? Anything else I should file for at the same time to speed up being able to work thanks in advance

Hello, wanted to ask how others have decided to take care of their finances in the UK once jumping the pond? I've been told to use TorFX to make the big currency transfer, and plan to send all of my money to my husband. Once I'm in the US, we plan to open a joint bank account together as well as a personal one for me on the side. I wanted to keep at least one UK account open however should I need to take care of any loose ends here for any reason, but most banks I've seen force you to close them once jumping UK residency. Some have told me to open an online only account and simply leave it registered under a family address to keep it open. Unsure if this is wise, however. Would love any thoughts or advice on how others proceeded. Thanks.

I have been granted citizenship. My mom got here last week on ESTA. I want to file for her ASAP. Does her being here on ESTA make her eligible for I-485? I plan on filing the I-130 but need to know I am not committing any fraud or filing an incorrect form with the I-485.

Preparing for K-1 Visa interview. I have been living with my fiance for the past 6 months, and studying for my Master's on a UK student visa. My course ends in December, and we plan to get married in January. I've gone back home several times throughout, but now looking to fill out my I-134. I have been working for a UK company since January (part-time during my studies and full-time since May). I have my 2023 tax returns, which show my employment from last year along with W-2s. My mother is going to be the co-sponsor since my income is no longer US-based, and she makes more than enough. Now when filling out my I-134, should I put in my tax return info for my contribution, or can I fill it with my UK income (which is also above the US poverty line)?
