Hi all, Not sure if anyone out there will have had a similar situation. But my husband has his interview this Thursday. (I am American and live in the UK with him). We have just received a call that an immediate family member back home in the states has died. I know typically if all goes well on Thursday they will take his passport and mail it back to us. My question is this: Does anyone know if they are able to return the passport next day so my husband and I can travel home to the states for the funeral? I did try to phone the embassy as a long shot but I was told the visa office doesn t receive calls, so we would just need to speak with them at the interview on Thursday. I m just trying to find answers ahead of time to help with planning the travel and to ease my mind a bit. Thanks in advance.

Hi All, Tomorrow I've reached the 90 days since my NOA and I was told by a USCIS rep that I can now call up and ask them to submit a service request to the field office handling my case to chase up why I haven't received the biometrics appointment for my EAD/AP Question: Has anyone else done this? Was it successful? How much longer did it take once chasing? Any tips or information on best getting this escalated with USCIS would be much appreciated Thanks!

Hi guys, I'm wondering if anyone is in my situation, or similar. Filed for EAD renewal on 1st Sept - whilst waiting for i-485 to be approved. (I've been waiting for interview since Dec 2019.) My city (NYC) is now stating the wait for approval is up to 30+ months (ridiculous) I have received no notification or acknowledgement from USCIS that they received my package - even though I can see it was received a month ago. I know covid is the excuse and delays inevitable but does it really stop them from opening the mail? Apologies for the vent I'm just frustrated! Anyone else in the same slow-moving boat as me?

Hi all, I hope this is the right forum but mods- please feel free to move this if not? I could not find a recent thread about this so apologies if already answered-- My partner received his spouse visa today with the following annotation: Class B Req. ATTN of USPHS at POE Based on some research, it looks like this is usually included if there is a health issue and it is recommended the immigrant receive an extra screening at POE or at a local public health office. His medical was clear except for a long-term minor mental health issue which he had a doctor's note for. Wondering if this annotation is due to COVID ? Has anyone else who recently received their visa had this annotation?
