Hi all, Does anyone have a rough idea what's the processing time like for I130 and N400 ? My husband filed both in April 2020, with this pandemic we know there will be delays but just want to get a rough idea of where we are at. He filed for both online, for his N400, it states theres a wait time of 2 months, and estimated completion date is Jan 2021, but how accurate is it ? He still hasnt been notified to book for his biometrics either... For I130 it says the petition has been accepted and it is under review. Not sure what that really mean either, ahh waiting is so frustrating.

Hi everyone, my husband and I really aren t doing too well. I m glad we have each other but we re both struggling. I ve tried my best to be really positive through this whole process but I m close to breaking point so thought I would share our story and invite others to share so we can offload and all be in this together. Definitely not wanting to be overly negative but I know we re all feeling pent up emotions and that s okay. I feel like it s healthier to get them out! We married in the US in 2018 but came to the UK 8 months later for my pregnancy. Our baby was born here last November. My husband is here as a visitor so he can t work. I have been running a business full (over) time to support the three of us. My husband s grandmother has cancer and is dying. His family have only seen our son for three weeks earlier this year which was unbearable for me being separated from him so I m really resistant to it happening again. They are all desperate to see him as a baby he s changing every day. I m burnt out and exhausted. My husband is depressed and without purpose or real friends over here. He has struggled to adjust to living outside of the US but there s no way he would want to go back alone without me or our son (he also looks after him all day while I work so it isn t practical). We had our own place initially but when the lease was up we were reluctant to get tied into another one because we know we re not staying so we re with my family which is less than ideal. I m so grateful the three of us are together but we feel trapped and it s taking a toll on our mental health and after reading that it s currently taking 5 months after DQ to get an interview, feels like another knock back. It s also worth adding that I have not lived in the UK for this long since I was 16 years old as I ve been living in different countries and adventuring which obviously isn t easy right now due to COVID (trust me, we d be in Bali otherwise and I m very close to taking us all to Mexico LOL). This hasn t felt like home to me in a long time so feels like we re both losing Leaving the US seemed like the right thing to do at the time (I was concerned about healthcare, cost of living in LA and family support while I was pregnant) but at this point, honestly, I regret it.

NVC notified me of being documentarily qualified around 10 days ago I m just trying to gauge how long it s currently taking to receive an interview date after this? There only seems to be wait times for non-immigrant visas on the embassy website. Interview anecdotes and stories also welcome!

I-797 as temporary EAD? |

Okay so I filed forms for EAD, AP etc back in April, I had my biometrics appointment in August but have still not received anything. Obviously it's been a long time and I'm getting pretty desperate to work, both for my mental health and to help out financially so my SO isn't having to pay for everything. I have just read this on the USCIS website https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-related-news/employment-authorization-document-ead-delays-due-to-covid-19. If I am reading correctly, this seems as though I can work legally with my I-797 if it's before August 20th and only until December 1st, which is great news. However, after reading this I saw this article: https://www.schwabe.com/newsroom-publications-uscis-temporarily-allows-employees-to-present-i-797#:~:text=On August 20%2C 2020%2C U.S.,authorization for I-9 purposes " the policy only applies to approval notices and not to receipt notices." this confuses me as I am not sure if what I have is valid, what I have is the I-797C Notice of Action which is the letter I received about my biometrics appointment date and where to go, so is this the correct notice or should I receive another notice before actually getting the EAD etc? I also checked USCIS case status online and all that it tells me is that my fingerprints were taken and applied to my case, no further information, so I'm a bit confused! Any help would be appreciated! By looking at the processing times it seems as though the current wait times are 5.5-7.5 months which is coming up fairly soon (still not soon enough haha) so I guess, if I am still not able to work, is there any point calling USCIS to check status or should I just wait until the 7.5 months is up? Thanks everyone!

Hi everyone! I have seen a couple people say they had to provide proof of health insurance for once they are in the USA at their interview, and I was wondering how you might do that? My husband doesn't have health insurance (another story.... he missed the last cut off), but I am a teacher so I am assuming I will get benefits with a new job. I also intend to get both of us HI as soon as I land there in the meantime, but I just don't know how I would prove this at interview? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!
