Over 2 weeks since we submitted our K1 visa - no response yet.

Hi All! We submitted our K1 packet and delivery was confirmed via FedEx on 10/30. I included the G-1145 form as well for electronic notifications, but I haven't received any notifications yet. I know things are very slow these days; however, pre-COVID timelines were averaging 7 days until first NOA1 per this website, so I'm trying to gage at what point I should start asking questions.

Should I be worried? How do I follow up? Any one else having the same experience with recent submissions?

Thanks so much!

GC Interview scheduled in older Field Office despite address change confirmation

My Marriage based AoS interview has been scheduled, but I moved to a different state almost 5 months ago. I had submitted paperwork from both my side and my USC sponsor wife's side to USCIS about our address change.

We even got a confirmation from USCIS that they had changed the address and then I also called them to confirm and they said they had the newest address on file.

However, when the interview letter came in, it has the older FO listed there.

I'm just concerned that their systems - as usual - might mess up something when we go there for the interview. Would the interviewing officer say that we are not supposed to interview at that office and that we now have a newer FO?

Does it matter where the interview is even conducted after change of address?

Thank you

Hello all, the thing that freaks me out most about this whole inmigration thing is fliying my cats.

Adding covid and flight cancelations and what not is stressing me enourmously.

Has anyone moved pets recently and can give me some info on how they did it, the experience, etc?

Thanks!

Wow, I haven't had to get on here in a while which is good but hi everyone! Long time, no talk! :)

It's almost that time to remove my husband's conditions on his greencard. His expires in May some I'm starting early now so I can send it in in February well within the 90 day time frame. I just wanted to post and give you guy's an idea of what I had so far and you can throw ideas at me of what I need to add. I've gotten rusty at the immigration stuff. I feel like I have a pretty good petition put together so far but any advice as always from this wonderful group of people is always welcome!

-Petition (obviously).

-All Receipt and Notices from USCIS regarding any immigration in the past for my husband.

-His birth certificate.

-Our marriage certificate and license.

-A copy of every page in his passport.

-Our driver's licenses.

-Copies of his greencard and work permit card.

-A copy of my photo passport page.

-Copies of him listed as my beneficiary on life insurance policies through work.

-Our medical insurance cards.

-I was going to include our bank statements from November-January since it's recent.

-Our checks stubs from our jobs (last four weeks worth when I send it in).

-A few bills from November-January that have both of our names on it such as water bill and card insurance.

-His truck loan information that has both of our names on it.

-Car insurance that has both of our names on it.

-Airline tickets from when we went to England to visit his family this past Christmas and our AIRBNB receipts from when we went on our anniversary trip to the beach.

-Our property tax information with both of our names on it as well as the deed to our home (since I'm the only one on the loan).

-Taxes filed for the last two years.

-Pictures with descriptions of family stuff since we got his greencard.

-Copies of the documents where we adopted out dog this past July with both of our names on it.

-Brittani

Hi everyone,

I recently had my IR1 visa approved.

Before moving, I would like to prepare everything that I need to open a bank account.

Apologies if I've missed this, but I couldn't see a guide anywhere. I wonder if anyone has any useful advice or links?

I appreciate that I will arrive with nothing but a visa, a social security number (after a few weeks), and no utility bills or proof of address.

Any advice on the best way of getting a bank account with this limited set of documents would be wonderful.

Many thanks!
