US Immigration from United Kingdom

Hi all, I'm 38 year old male from the UK who's just been scheduled a visa interview date for the IR-1 visa, and looking to arrange the medical examination before I attend the interview, which will take place Jan 2025.
When checking the vaccine requirements with my local doctor, he seemed unsure what I'll need exactly as he said the list is too generic. This has left me at square one and quite confused.

When cross referencing this link with my vaccine records, it appears I'll need the following:

- Covid

- Influenza

- Hepatitis B

- Tdap/Td (last time I had the DT/Polio booster was Apr 2000)

My question is, does anyone have recent experience with the medical examination, including which vaccines are absolutely required regardless of how young/fit you are? i.e. how case-by-case basis is the decision on each required vaccine? For instance, Hepatitis B in the UK is only recommended when travelling to a high risk country, have liver disease, HIV, or a job that puts you at risk. Is this not the case for the US?

Hoping someone can give me some insight so I can be as prepared as possible.

Myself and my wife are in the process of filling out the I-130 form and gathering all of the evidence we required. We've noticed that when we got married back in 2023 my signature (the beneficiary) is not matching with my passport. We're not sure if this will cause a problem or if we should just leave it and hope that it won't cause any issues/delays with our application.

We've been in contact with the marriage office where they issued the marriage certificate and they said that they would need to re-issue the certificate if I wish to change the signatures. But that could create another problem as they can't put the original date on the new certificate but the date that the new certificate is issued. Therefore, on paper it will show that we only just got married but in reality its been 1.5 years since our marriage.

Does anyone have any advice or have encountered such a problem? Is it better to leave how the signatures are now or would it better to get a new marriage certificate with a new date?

Hi! Long time listener, 1st time poster.

Wonder if anyone can give an estimate on advanced parole/ EAD timelines after AOS.

I (Brit) married my wife (USC) in July. I'm currently out of status so we're rushing the applications through (ran into sponsor delays). We're applying for employment authorisation (I need to pull my weight!) and advanced parole at the same time (I have children with an ex in the UK) - hopefully this week.

It's been four months since we saw the monkies already and it's a bit hard. The ex is being difficult on allowing my wife to collect them (and UK court dates are months out) so the only option is us visiting. So I wondered if there was a clearer "it takes about x months to be able to travel after filing".

We're based in CT, I entered on ESTA last trip (I have a B1/2 as well, global entry snaffuu at easter!) - if that makes any difference!

Both my husband (USC) and I had already informed USCIS of our address change in March of this year. We both received notification of change of address to our new State, yet they have sent the notification of reminder for me to file my ROC to our last address. Fortunately we have not yet sold that house and are still in between States. Long story that I refuse to bore you with!

My question is since I will be filing in the new year, should I not be concerned as my forms will have the current address that we are at even though we still have ties to the old? I will have all the relevant documents and IDs that reflect the move to the new State. Sorry for the long windedness of my query

Is anyone familiar with what the steps on the myProgress tab might indicate?

We filed August 2nd, they received it August 5th, and husband attended biometrics on October 3rd. Then, mid-October the myProgress tab finally showed up and put us in Step 3 (attend interview if needed) with a timeline estimate of 2 months. This morning I logged in and Step 3 has now been marked complete, and we're on Step 4, Case Decision, with a timeline of 12 months. I know the time estimates are famously inaccurate, but I'm curious about what this might mean in terms of whether we may receive an RFE during this case decision time? If they've decided he doesn't need an interview, have they only scanned it enough to determine there's no red flags that may trigger an interview, but we could still get an RFE? Or have they reviewed everything thoroughly enough that we're essentially just in the queue for an approval or denial?

I know nobody can know the workings of USCIS, just looking to speculate and hear from others who may have some knowledge of what could happen next based on this tab!
