Hi

I'm just starting to hop back into this immigration process hopefully for the final time so any help would be welcome.

Brief timeline -

I was a k1 visa entry, married and had i485 interview for conditional green card, then divorced about 12 months later. Filed i751 as divorce waiver, approved without interview.

So I'm going to apply for naturalization by the 5 year rule, no criminal records or tickets, what would I need to provide as evidence or documentation outside of tax records?

Thank you for any help!

Taiwan Police Clearance: Validity

Hi everyone,

I m currently in the CR1 visa process, having submitted the I-130 application last year.

Looking ahead to the NVC stage - which I m hoping will come around soon, assuming we receive approval, I had a question regarding police checks for countries I ve previously lived in.

Between 2014 and 2019, I lived and worked in Taiwan and held an ARC (Alien Resident Certificate) during that time. In May 2020, I obtained a Taiwanese police clearance certificate, which I needed for work purposes. The process was quite tedious and hence I am getting ahead of the game and thinking ahead this time.

Since the period I have lived in Taiwan, I ve been issued a new passport, and the police clearance I have lists my old passport number. I haven t lived in Taiwan since 2019, though I did make a brief 4-day visit in January 2020 for a holiday.

I noticed on the US embassy in UK website, that it says the following:

Quote

With the exception of the U.K. police certificate which is considered valid for 12 months from the date of issuance, a police certificate is valid indefinitely, provided you do not return to the country and reside for six months or more, if it s your country of birth or current residence. The period is twelve months for any other country.

Source: Immigrant Visas FAQs - Visa Processing and Documents

My question is: Would I be able to use the police clearance I obtained in 2020, or would I need to apply for a new one?

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

I filed my I-130 for my wife in May 2024 and had over 70 documents uploaded. I logged into my USCIS account and noticed my documents are all missing. What do I do here ?

I-797C - ASC Appointment Notice

I've been in the U.S. for about two months now, and I still await my physical Green Card to be mailed to me, (all paid for in advance). I obtained my Immigrant Visa (IR1) in London and have the two stamps in my passport from CBP when I actually arrived into the U.S. at the Port of Entry

I've now received a form I-797C Notice of Action for a biometrics, (Application Support Center - ASC) appointment. It askes that I bring the appointment letter, Applicant's Information Worksheet, (AIW), together with photo ID, (will take my British passport with I-551 stamps and Immigrant Visa).

I'm not sure why I have this notice and would be grateful to anyone who may have experienced this, or anyone that may know the reason why. Thank you.

Hi all,

Attended my biometrics appointment today and 2 hours later had a text to say my case status was updated. When I logged in, I saw the below:

Does this mean I won't need to be interviewed?

Thank you!
