Writ of Mandamus guidance |

I would like some guidance from people who have prior experience with the use of a writ of mandamus for immigration purposes. I don't want amateur responses. Either an immigration lawyer or someone with firsthand knowledge of the process please. We have now hit the one-year mark for our N400 and TWO-YEAR mark for our I-751 and are now at wit's end. We're on the cusp of going with a WoM. This is because the senator's office is about as much help as a bad case of acne and we see others from our local USCIS office in the same exact situation who have been waiting on their N-400 for months longer with no movement. This whole situation is absolutely ridiculous, unacceptable and inexcusable. It seems if nothing changes we will technically be considered outside normal processing in early December. 1) What additional steps should we take before we go the WoM route? We have made periodic inquiries at the USCIS. We engaged our senator's office TWICE with nothing coming from it. Do we first wait until we are outside of normal processing and then get a Tier 2 officer involved? I want to make sure we lay the proper groundwork as a foundation for a WoM if all else fails (i.e. "Yes, your Honor, we did do X, Y and Z with no movement or results") 2) What are the criteria for a WoM to be successful? What are all the steps to take initially? (maybe this is a repeat of question #1 above) 3) We have BOTH an I-751 and N-400 outstanding. So would this be TWO WoMs? If a WoM runs circa $5k, would that hit our wallet to the tune of $10k? Thanks in advance for any valuable guidance experienced people can offer us.

I have applied for my brother I-130 (F4) back in 2015 and his case was approved, but the case with NVC waiting on Visa availability (likely another 7 years or so). He, and his wife, are eligible for U4U program. Would there be an issue with getting him approved for a parole and could this possibly hurt his immigration case in the future? For now, the intent would be to stay in the US for 2 years or so, and return to Ukraine if possible.

Hello there! I have come to the United States recently, and currently I am applying to the college. The college application process asked me for my A-Number, and for the issue and the expiration date of it. I marked the checkbox, states: "Check, if there is no expiration date" because, obviously, there is no an expiration date for the USCIS#, whether you are a refugee or a citizen. Anyways, I do have that number stated on the USCIS papers, however, the issue date is not stated anywhere clearly. So, my question is: if there is no a clear written issue date of the Alien-number, should I just take the date from the USCIS website, when the very first document which stated my A-number was sent to me by the Homeland Security Administration?

Hello all, I had a question. For the I129, proof of relationship, does it all need to be printed or do they accept any digital records? Ex. Word docs, etc. Also, should I include a record of text messages too ? Thanks, Jon

My wife is from Ukraine and arrived to the U.S. June 26th, 2022, we are married and recently had a baby, her parents are refugees in Germany. My wife has received her Greencard, I was wondering what is the best visa to bring her parents to the U.S. for a visit to meet their grandson? I know that they do not wish to stay in the U.S. and wish to return to Ukraine. Would a standard visitor visa be the best option? Any information or experiences in this would help.
