Hello there! I have come to the United States recently, and currently I am applying to the college. The college application process asked me for my A-Number, and for the issue and the expiration date of it. I marked the checkbox, states: "Check, if there is no expiration date" because, obviously, there is no an expiration date for the USCIS#, whether you are a refugee or a citizen. Anyways, I do have that number stated on the USCIS papers, however, the issue date is not stated anywhere clearly. So, my question is: if there is no a clear written issue date of the Alien-number, should I just take the date from the USCIS website, when the very first document which stated my A-number was sent to me by the Homeland Security Administration?

Hello all, I had a question. For the I129, proof of relationship, does it all need to be printed or do they accept any digital records? Ex. Word docs, etc. Also, should I include a record of text messages too ? Thanks, Jon

My wife is from Ukraine and arrived to the U.S. June 26th, 2022, we are married and recently had a baby, her parents are refugees in Germany. My wife has received her Greencard, I was wondering what is the best visa to bring her parents to the U.S. for a visit to meet their grandson? I know that they do not wish to stay in the U.S. and wish to return to Ukraine. Would a standard visitor visa be the best option? Any information or experiences in this would help.

Hi: Hope this is the right forum for the question. My MIL has her interview soon for adjustment of status. She came under U4U, if that matters. She does not speak English. We are taking someone that is not a certified translator, but has done this at our local USCIS field office (Montgomery, AL). From what I understand, the lawyer explained to us that usually they do not allow the petitioner (my wife) to go and be present at the interview. Question: What are the rules for interpreters? The notice says they have to be proficient in English and Russian (our case) and certify that the translation is complete and accurate. Do they have to have some sort of certification? Credentials? or else? Has someone had experience doing this. This is someone my wife befriended in a charity event for Ukrainian bake Sale. I am not doubting she has helped others, just don't want to take my chances and my MIL will be there w/o proper translator or help. Other than not speaking English, she is elderly 74yo and has doesn't have a clue the importance of this interview. There are no available local translators in the area, that I could find either. Interview is in 3.5 weeks. Thanks for any suggestions and comments.

Hello, My nephew is Ukrainian and my wife and I want to take him to Montreal, and possibly Toronto and Niagara Falls (CA side). We helped him apply for a visitor visa in mid July, and he went to his biometrics in the beginning of August. The Visit Canada website stated that it takes about 34 days for processing. It has been 2 months and I'm wondering what is the best method to ask about how much longer it would take. Basically, if there is a phone number or email, or even an office near Boston (we can travel to New York, if needed) for us to call/email/visit.
