Divorce after N-400 filed

It looks like I'll be getting a divorce from my wife, but I have not started the process. We just filed the N-400 at the end of August.

If the divorce is finalized before her interview will that effect her eligibility to apply for citizenship? A marriage based filing, 4 years after she has had her green card.

Waiting for K1 visa interview appointments to become available at Bangkok embassy.

This is just an FYI for anyone else who might be in the same position.

We are so close the being done with the whole process. We are currently waiting for K1 Visa appointments to become available in Bangkok.

On September 17th, we completed the DS-160 forms (By the way..that was a SERIOUS PAIN IN THE _.since the https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ website kicks you out if you pause for a minute to look up some information)

After completing the DC-160, you get directed to the ustraveldocs.com website to pay for and schedule an interview. (Why that website doesn't have a .gov domain extension is beyond me). At the time, the ustraveldocs website was indicating that there was an available appointment at the end of November. (I'm guessing it may have been a cancellation that freed up a slot).

Unfortunately, it took much of the next day to find a print shop in Jomtien willing and capable (incompetence was a factor) to print out the payment form that the bank would need. After paying for the interview fees (k1 and k2) and getting our receipt, per the instructions, we had to wait until after 12:00pm the next day, before attempting to schedule an interview. (I assume, giving time for the ustraveldocs website to acknowledge the payment Receipt #). To our dismay, that open slot had been snatched up (congratulations to whomever that might be).

So here we are, checking the ustraveldocs website constantly, hoping that more appointments open up, soon. It's quite disheartening, after waiting 15-16 months from I-129f inception, to our case arriving at the embassy, then struggling through the <text deleted> CEAC website, to now get greeted with "No appointments available" every time we log in and click that 'Continue' link.

Case Denied

Hello Everyone.

I am new here. Was referred by someone that had gone through the k1 process.

I am very frustrated at the moment. I just got the update that the case and it was denied.

I am not sure why yet. Still waiting for the paper to show up that tells me. I don't understand why they just can't give me an explanation when I sign into the account at uscis. Why do I have to wait for snail-mail.

Can anyone confirm this for me. A coworker said, sometimes a deny is a soft deny. Meaning they require something further. Is this true or once it says denied, that's it?

Also, I've read on the internet two different things. One thing says I can appeal it, the other says I cannot. Which it true?

Thank You for any feedback.

Peter

After reading @Ryan & Rachaya's story about potentially having to start over, I figured I should check our I-130 to see if anything stood out that I may need to potentially fix now since we are so early in the process. I went over the form so many times that I was confident everything was kosher, but figured I would check for the 100th time to be sure.

1. On my current address, I know that I entered a start date of 01/01/2023 and for the end date I used the date I submitted the form, but the date fields are showing blank on the submitted form. Is this OK since it is my current address and I provided the remaining addresses for the past 5 years of required address history?

2. question 46 "Was the beneficiary EVER in the United States?" I clearly checked "NO" because the form shows a check box on "No"; however, on question 46a "He or She arrived as a" : there a value of UN. Again, is this normal?

Good morning, I have a question for the group. I am planning a wedding in Thailand in October. I was wondering what happens if the CR1 Visa gets rejected for some unknown reason? Has this happened to anyone on this site? Thank you
