They asked very basic questions name, town of home, how long you've known each other, how many times have you physically met. They did go through most of the paperwork. There was a brief hold up related to my (petitioner) divorce decree. Be sure you have a certified copy! Mali said many people were turned away due to insufficient paperwork. Also, the Bangkok consular office is across the street and about 100m from the actual US embassy! Doh! Who knew? She was out with an hour of her scheduled interview.

Yui had her appointment scheduled for 0700 and arrived at around 0630. Many people had already arrived and were waiting to be admitted as early as 0530am.
She was admitted into the waiting area and her interview was around 0830 as there were others in front of her that took some time. Likely due to not being ready or not having paperwork in order.
She spoke to a few people, and they had been turned away and sent to go get more documents. One couple had waited for 2 years already for K1, the petitioner was actually there but of course was not allowed to enter.
They turned them away as he did not have his previous marriage divorce decree and had used an agency which was not cheap. So advice here is use this forum and ask questions.
When Yui went into her interview, the officer was very polite. She was very happy that we had all our information arranged and labeled and quckly reviewed the documents. Yui mentioned she made com... read complete review

Pretty straightforward and not a long wait. The wait and interview area for immigrant visas were in a semi-outdoor area. On the day I went, there was pretty bad air pollution in Bangkok. Even the consular officer remarked on it and told me I could keep my face mask on during the interview; I chose to take it off.
Interview questions:
- When did you get married?
- How did you meet?
- How long ago was it?
- When did you start dating?

My wife was denied entry into the interview for not having an original of my divorce papers (she had a scanned copy). They accepted scanned copies of everything else. Lawyer said this was the first time this had ever happened.
Second interview went very well. 5 basic questions about our relationship.

On Oct 8th 2024 my 20 year old step daughter and my 10 year old step son who were both listed on our original I129F and came as K2 follown on's had their interview for their visa..
They showed to to the consulate office with my father in law but he was denied access into the consulate because my step daughter is 20 so they went in alone.. I sent in a new I131 proof of income and supporting docs, one copie of our I129F packet and proof of relationship. We mad a complete packet for each individual child.
My step daughter said they waited a little bit and when they got to aee the USCIS agent she gave them the docs for each child anf the only questions ask them was:
what is your new fathers job?
what is his name?
what are your names?
The agent then took the I131 and supporting docs and gave the rest
of the rest back to the kids.
My daughter thought the process was very easy and not stressful.. We figured sin... read complete review
