Interview was conducted on 19 August at the US Embassy in Bangkok. The Embassy called her a couple of days in advance to review the required original documents -- the interview appointment email, DS260 confirmation, GSS registration, and all the original civil documents. The staff member insisted without these documents, the interview would be cancelled. She arrived at the Embassy at 0615 for her 0700 appointment. The line was very long and a mixture of visa types. The first step was the document review. We had all the required documents organized and easily handed over to the staff member checking the documents. Some of those who didn't have the required documents were refused without an interview. There were 4 open windows and the line for the CO interviews was a mixture of immigrate visas (to include K1). My wife did say the K1 applicate questions were a lot more extensive and longer than what she encountered. Wife said her interview was less than 10 minutes and more of a friendly conversation. It started with our names, how we met, and the development of our relationship. The CO was also reviewing the online photos that reached back more than 14 years. The CO did inquire about past marriages and the reason for their termination. The last question was why she wanted to immigrate to the US. After the answer, the CO said her answer sounded good and she was approved for a visa. The CO informed her that it will take a couple of weeks before she would receive the visa. |

Thank you! Visa arrived today to the local post office (28 August). When you filled out the GSS registration, you can select home delivery.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
