Hey guys. So our friend is willing to be a joint sponsor, however she's worried it might affect her ability to gain custody of her daughter and we're all wondering, would her being a joint sponsor affect her gaining child custody in any way?

How long can you stay out of the US in total? I went to my home country for 1.5 weeks earlier this summer and will be going for another 1.5 weeks in December. I know that you cannot stay out of the US for more than 1 year (generally) so would all these small trips add up or are they talking more about long-term travel out of the country and also not keeping residency here?

I'm just looking for some clarification on this as both me and my husband LOVE to travel and tend to go on shorter trips like this 1-2 times a year.

Obviously I understand that it might delay me being able to apply for citizenship under the 3 year rule by a little bit which is completely fine, we are just curious about traveling and maintaining legal status.

This might be a silly question but I wanted to see if anyone has bought a round-trip flight to USA to use their K1 visa (rather than a one way flight) solely because it is significantly cheaper to do so?

Does anyone have experience whether the completed fingerprints will show up on USCIS case status, and in that case approximately how long until the status will update?

Once I finished freaking out about the previous mess with my I-751 petition, now there s the next one. See, I thought I saw with other people that their case status had been updated with Fingerprints Have Been Taken/Applied .

I went to my rescheduled biometrics appointment at an ASC two weeks ago. Yet, the last update I can see on my case status is:

Name Was Updated

I-751

Last status change: 104 days ago

(My name had to be changed because USCIS Lockbox messed up my last name on the petition )

So is this normal or is there anything I can do about it?
