Quick questions about i-130 |

I'm a US citizen trying to do a petition for my sister that lives in Sweden and I'm currently working on the i-130 ONLINE application. I just have some questions and would appreciate some help. Q 1: "At which U.S. Embassy or Consulate location will the beneficiary apply for an immigrant visa?" Since my sister doesn't live in USA, I should put her hometown in that area correct? Q 2: In the section of "Evidence" -> "Evidence to support your petition", there's 3 sections on this page: A) Proof of U.S. Citizenship B) Evidence of the end of your prior marriage(s) (Upload documents showing that your prior marriage(s) were legally terminated.) C) Proof of sibling relationship On B, is it asking for my divorce papers? Or my sisters? Q 3: I don't see anywhere on the application where I need to provide passport copy of my sister. Am I not supposed to provide this with the i-130 form? By the way, you don't need to know the answers to all 3 questions to respond. Thanks a bunch!!

Moved to another state, will service center assignment change? |

Just curious if moving to another state will cause the service center assignment to change as well? If so, would USCIS notify us that the service center assignment had changed? My wife's case was assigned to YSC, which appears to be one of the slowest when it comes to processing cases. We do intend to file her N-400 petition online next month (have to be in current state 3 months in order to file), but it would be nice to see some movement on her I-751 petition soon.

I ve never posted in a forum before, so please bear with me everyone. I moved to the US on a K-1 visa in July 2019, applied for adjustment of status in September 2019. I never applied for EAD or AP, but I received my conditional Green Card in December 2020. During this time my husband has became more and more controlling, Im not allowed to go outside the house or go anywhere without him. Im not allowed to have friends or work. I m not allowed to drive, get a car or my own bank account. He controls all the finances, and if I need something I have to ask him for it. He works from home so I never have a moment to myself, he basically holds me hostage. He s drunk and high pretty much every day and he becomes very aggressive. He s violent and he also has guns in the house. He threatens to send me back to where I came from all the time. So out of fear for him and his threats I ve never called the cops or filed a police report. In the past he forced me to sign a prenup against my will, he basically said he will make me homeless or call immigration on me if I didn t sign it. I know a little bit about the VAWA, but not enough. If I would go that route would it mean that my immigration process would start all over again? And would I be able to apply for the VAWA while still being married or do I have to be divorce? I don t know where else to turn or who I should ask so I m hoping for some advice on what to do in this situation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long read.

We applied for AOS in June 2021. I know that it can take longer to have your interview scheduled. The reason why I'm wondering about this is because I'm subscribed to e-mails about timelines similar to my own and have seen a few others belonging to my field office (Chicago) that either applied later than me or had their biometrics taken later than me that have had interviews scheduled. This makes me wonder a little bit about why mine is taking longer and why that could be. I have the EAD combo card already, so I'm not feeling stressed or worried about waiting in itself, just that others within the same field office have been scheduled and not me. Would that be a reason to be worried? Is this common?

We were about to file my wife's N400 application online, but it appears that we must reside in our current residence 90 days before she may apply. Not a huge problem, but we just relocated back in December 2021 due to my job and must wait a month to file the N400. Has anyone else run into this?
