US Immigration from Russia

Our case is at the NVC and I am tracking the current case review progress as published on

This gets updated every Monday and I have noticed that the progress has gone down dramatically.

On 7/6 they were reviewing documents submitted on June 2nd

On 7/12 they were reviewing documents submitted on June 4th

On 7/19 they are reviewing documents submitted on June 6th

Their progress is 2 days per week. How is this sustainable? It means the backlog is getting longer instead of shorter.

I am wondering if this is something that is related to the summer (NVC employees taking vacation) or is it a structural problem?

My fianc is filling out an i-864 and, as a recent graduate, does not currently make enough to submit alone. So, his Mother is filling out an i-864a as a household member who earns over the poverty line considering their household size.

So our question is: on the i-864a, his Mother is including tax return transcripts for the most recent 3 years. BUT she filed joint federal income tax returns with her husband who is not intending on filling out an i-864 because his mother earns enough on her own. Does she need to include her W-2 s and 1099 s for each year even though she s including transcripts? Do we need to include his Father s transcripts and other forms even though his income isn t being included for sponsorship? Do we have to have his Father submit an i-864a just because both of his parents filed their tax returns as joint spouses?

Hi guys, me and my husband are going to finalize and submit our CR1 petition this week. I was wondering, what is the wait period from start to finish now for CR1 in China? I understand that its moving much faster than K1, but still the situation is not so clear to me.

Any recent cases here of obtaining it within a year?

My wife"s daughter over the last 14 years has had at least 5 visas in her passport and has come here over times during those years. The most recent time she came with her 3 year old daughter to see grandma with the intent of returning to her country even though she has a i-130 filed and allowed but just waiting for an interview. She has tickets for her and daughter to return in august. now she is worried because the company she worked for folded and she is out of work in he own country and lost her apt also. tHEREFORE she is considering filing an AOS. Question is how successful would she be if shev filed before the 90 days

Hello. We filed forms 485, 131, 765. The biometrics is done.
The site has updated the status that we have been assigned an interview for the green card, there are no updates on forms 131 and 765.
1. Does this mean that they will no longer process Forms 131 and 765, since we have already been invited to the interview?
2. What document / permit do I need to obtain to travel with a green card? (There is a Russian passport)
3. I got an SSN with a mark that valid for work with only DNS authorization . Do I need to replace the SSN card after receiving the green card?
