Hi guys, Our PD is Aug 10, 2021. Originally on our NOA1 it stated we are at Texas service center, but a find suggested to email to USCIS to check if its correct, and we just got their reply that we are in Potomac. Its kinda depressing because the official processing time in there is 13 to 16.5 months. I just wanted to know is it really as bad as its written - or usually its actually much shorter? I read some cases about people's I130 being approved like within several months, wonder does it ever happen in Potomac? Its really frustrating and confusing how does it all work. I know that we need to wait patiently like everyone says... but just wanna see if there are chances we might be approved earlier than after 13 months...

Hello. I received a green card after arriving in the United States on a K1 visa. I plan to submit petition I 130 to reunite with my son, he is 21 years old, not married, a citizen of Russia. 1. When filling out a petition, the question is asked whether there have been any previous immigration requests. How to answer this question, if he came with me on a K2 visa before reaching the age of 21, they submitted form 465 for him, but he left without waiting for an interview. 2. Is it possible to indicate the embassy of another country, not Russia, for the interview, since the Russian embassy is very limited. I understand that by the time of the interview, everything may have changed, but still I wanted to play it safe. And is it possible to change the selected embassy? 3. What is the best way to submit - online or on paper? Please advise. 4. If online, how to pay the fee through the online account (I could not find payment links)? Does it have to be a bank account or card opened in the United States? Thank you for your answers.

We have all the possible evidence recommended, including joint stock ownership and child birth certificate (born here in US). I never obtained any affidavits from friends, though we added pictures with friends. Any point in obtaining such letters? This just seems silly. Has anyone gotten RDW with the rest of the evidence in place but without letters? RFE specifically for affidavits.

Hi all, My husband is from Russia. His mom got a tourist visa last year right before everything shut down due to covid. However, we realized that her name is spelled Irinia in her visa, and not Irina. 1. Will she have to get a new visa/fix the spelling? Or will she be able to travel here with that visa? The biggest problem is that everything in Russia shut down and then the consulates closed. The embassy in Moscow is running on a VERY limited basis. I don t think they ll fix the spelling error. if anybody has any advice or experience with something like this, please advise!

My husband is from Russia and recently because a US citizen. We would like to have his mother visit us from Russia as they haven't seen each other for many years. We are wondering what kind of documents she would have to bring along to submit the application for a tourist visa besides the actual form. For example a letter from us inviting her. Any advice on what that letter needs to include? Also if we need proof that we can support her financially while she is here as she doesn't really have money on her own, how can we prove that? If there is anything else you can think of please let me know! Thanks!
