US Immigration from Russia

I used to date this Russian woman. Very nice woman. But we are no longer together.

However she has a grown son that decided to come to America via the Mexico route. He got caught and sent to detention in Massachusetts. He was told he needs a sponsor.

Is anyone on here familiar with this type of situation?

If so what is a sponsor? Or a guarantor? What is required? What needs to be done?

Is this a lot of responsibility?

My wife's paperwork just got DQ. Can anyone one tell me on average how long does it take for them to schedule a visa interview in Warsaw? Also does she have to go to the interview alone? Can me and my child join? Is getting a visa to Poland impossible? Can I switch my interview to Turkey?

Hi guys! As some of you may know, my wife got a Schengen visa refusal from Hungary so she won't be able to attend the IR1 visa interview next week in Warsaw. On Dec 5th I wrote to the U.S. Embassy Jerusalem asking for the interview transfer but they haven't replied yet. Then I wrote to support-poland@ustraveldocs.com asking for further steps but they replied with some incomprehensible nonsense, seems like they didn't bother to read my message in full. I wonder what to do now? Should I reschedule the interview in Warsaw using ustraveldocs website and then try to obtain a Schengen visa for my wife from another country? Should I wait until interview date passes to reschedule (that's what it says on ustraveldocs website)?

My wife's i485 was recently approved and the green card was created and delivered. BUT we had an issue which is from what I understand to be common. We moved to a new address, used the change address function online, and the green card was still delivered to the old address.

Since the USCIS system says it was delivered and not returned, I understand we need to file a form i90 for a replacement card. There is an associated filing fee that we would like to avoid paying if possible since we did the change address as instructed within 10 days of changing address.

I've read in the past that people have been able to get the filing fee waived despite this situation not being specifically listed as eligible for a few waiver. Is that true? Can we file the i90 without including the fee but with evidence showing that we changed address appropriately?

In short, efforts were spent on:

- More employment-based visas (to the level of working 7 days a week on them)

- Cleaning up the backlog of expiring EADs, particularly those of asylum-seekers

- Processing Temporary Protected Status and similar paperwork (Afghanistan, Ukraine, etc.)

- Making money

The 14-page report does not mention "K-1" or "I-129" even once.
