No recent taxes just pay stubs, need advice

Hello all! Firstly, thank you so much for your help in advance! I am looking for some advice please.

Last year I was a full time nursing student and therefore unemployed. My income was zero and I didn't file taxes.

Our case just got approved and sent to NVC but my first nursing job doesn't start for another 3 months, although, I do have an offer letter.

In the interim - I am working as a preschool teacher over the summer until my nursing job starts. But, I just started working as a preschool teacher and should get my first pay stub soon.

I am really worried about being rejected from NVC because of my lack of recent tax returns and becuase I newly got a job.

Any idea how many pay stubs you think would be sufficient and if I stand a chance without tax returns? Do you think 3 pay stubs and my nursing offer letter would suffice?

I don't really have anyone to ask to joint sponsor me :( I'm really worried.

Thank you all!

Tourist visa appointments for Russians via Kazakhstan

So we used the ustraveldocs site to schedule a tourist visa appointment for MIL in Almaty. Kazakhstan is allowing Russians to schedule appointments there even if you are a nonresident. The calendar showed up no problem and there were plenty of appointments in August, then all booked up until November.

Just wanted to share this here because you don't need a 3rd party company to book your appointment. Be sure to pay the fee with a US card because Russian bank cards don't work. Almaty seems to offer interviews in Russian language as well.

I-551 Stamp instead of 48-month extension. Asking for some input.

Hey guys!

I have a question regarding receiving I-551 by Mail. 2 weeks ago I received a physical mail from my local San Francisco office saying that

"USCIS has granted your request and enclosed temporary evidence of your legal status on the Form I-94 with a temporary I-551 stamp. Your I-94# is ******. Your remain authorized to work and travel. Your form I-94 provides evidence of your lawful permanent resident status only until the date referenced on the Form I-94s accompanying I-551 stamp. Please allow seven to ten days to receive your document by mail".

This letter is dated June 1st, and I still haven't received anything else. I called USCIS earlier today to ask if there was anything else sent to me but they just put me in line for another call from my local office. Helpful as always .

I requested this stamp because I haven't received a 48-months extension letter that was issued earlier this year to everyone who has a pending I-751, and I couldn't obtain it through e-requests (I already submitted 2 and they both were ignored). If you have an experience receiving this stamp by mail, how long did it take you to receive an actual document after getting this confirmation?

I also don't know what to do with I-94 number that was stated in this letter. When I checked my most recent I-94 online, I saw information on my very first entry under K1 visa back in 2019. It also has a different number attached to it, and no other information.

I'm getting anxious here. Filed I-751 in November 2021 (WAC), filed N-400 in February 2023 (San Francisco), no 48-month extension. No stamp, still. Any input will be very much appreciated!

Just wondering if anyone has any recent experience traveling to Russia via Helsinki to St. Petersburg? Working on planning the wife's trip coming up and are leaning toward Dubai to Novosibirsk, but she talked to someone that said Helsinki to St. Petersburg is an option by train or bus.

Thanks.

After receiving the notice of approval how long does it take to get an interview?

Case Was Sent To The Department Of State

On June 3, 2023, we sent your case, Receipt Number IOExxx, to the Department of State for visa processing. You can find general information on Consular Processing by visiting our website at www.uscis.gov . The website will provide information on what to do next, who to contact, and how to inform us of any changes in your situation or address.

i checked the USCIS website for processing times but wasn t sure if it will actually spend 14-32 months at the state department processing.

We applied last June, 2022 us citizen bringing over mom from foreign country.

thank you.
