We got my wife here from the Philippines last year, and started the process for her son. We're nearing the end, as he has his embassy interview next week. We got a long, automated email from NVC with a list of things to do/check, and one of them is "be sure you paid your fee." > Immigrant visa applicants who have not paid the visa processing fee at the National Visa Center should pay with the Embassy s Consular Cashier. The schedule of fees is available at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/fees/fees-visa-services.html. Are they referring to the fee that we paid at the start of this for her son? Or are they talking about some other fee incurred close to the end of the process? How do I see if I've already paid? Or should I just not worry about it, and pay them with a CC on the day of the interview if they ask for it?

My wife, myself and our two kids are planning on going to the Philippines in December to visit her family. I have some questions regarding this trip hopefully you guys can answer. First question is how long can our US citizen son and myself stay in the Philippines (I assume they still give you the visa at the airport, correct me if I am wrong)? I know last time I went before we were married I had a 30 day visa but I thought if you were married to a citizen it is longer than 30 days. I am asking because I am currently looking at buying our plane tickets and I can get the best price if we stay a few days longer than 30 days. Second question is regarding covid rules. We are unvaccinated so it is my understanding we will have to have a negative covid test and stay in a quarantine when we arrive. How long according to current rules do we have to be in quarantine and can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel we can stay at for the quarantine? I am sure I will have more questions as we get closer to the trip so I will reply to this post when I come up with more.

HI everyone. I got a letter from NVC dates April 15, 2021 that the received all of the fees, forms and documents that are required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview. As of now, I have not received any letter or email regarding my father's case. Early this year, I called NVC and the person I talked to said Manila Embassy is not releasing interview dates that time. I tried calling US Embassy in Manila last week and it is all voice prompt. I need to talk to a live person and ask if NVC forwarded our case to them. I am so worried that maybe they notified me already but missed it. Can someone give me the phone number of US Embassy in Manila and phone number of NVC. Thank you very much.

What strange requirements may I (the USC) need to keep in mind while waiting for the 33 months to pass so we can submit her N-400? My wife (of 13yrs 2days) got her 10yr GC October 1 and I know she can't leave the country over 6 months or it will count against the 33 months. However, is there any similar restraint for me? I actually just returned from a 5 month trip to the Philippines a few weeks ago because our house/garage and pretty much everything else were destroyed by Super Typhoon Odette in December. She stayed here in San Antonio because we couldn't afford for both to go. Would there be some future problem with her Naturalization because of that trip? What if I'd stayed longer? I expect both of us will go back to the Philippines in about June of 23 and she'll return under 6 months but would it be a problem if I stayed longer? Do I really need to be physically present in the US to file the N-400? Do I have to attend her interview? TIA
