how to get that k1ftp letter if we did not received

Hi Folks,

My fianc e has her K1 medical exam appointment booked for later this month in Manila. For others who have gone through this, how long does it normally take (e.g. whole day or half day?), and has anyone had to take more than one day to complete it? I am hoping it normally takes one day, only. I ask because we have plans to go out of town on the following day.

I have already filed the I-130 for my wife's IR1; priority date 22 JUL 2022. Since then some documents and evidence have been created and/or changed.

- Marriage Certificate has been Apostilled by The Philippines DFA

- Our son's Birth Certificate has been Apostilled by The Philippines DFA

- My son has received his CRBA and US passport.

Will filing this in addition to what documents they currently have help the case or should we just wait for the interview and/or NVC to present these documents?

I am looking for any assistance that can be provided in helping me fill out my taxes for me and my wife who currently lives in the Philippines. We were married in April of 2022 and currently waiting on our I-130 application.

From my own research, the best course seems to file jointly, but that requires my wife to have a ITIN. If I file separately it seems I have to file a paper return and put NRA in the SSN line.

If anyone has been through this process, any help or advice would greatly be appreciated.

Philippines 13a visa (residency based on marriage) - Are there any advantages of applying while still in the US, or is it better to wait until after arrival in Philippines and apply there?
