My wife is 45. She had never really driven before coming to the US. We started doing a bit of "back-road" driving quite a while back. Last month, we decided it was time to start practicing on roads with traffic. We went our local DPS to get a permit. She did the required 6 hours of on-line videos and the 1-hour safety video in advance. The written test was on-line also, so our visit to DPS was just to process the paperwork. There were only 3 counters. While we waited for our turn, it became very clear that 2 of the 3 were very experienced, but the 3rd one was new. She was super slow and asking many questions. I was hoping we did not get her! But guess what? We DID. The foreign passport threw her off a bit. She was talking to herself about a marriage certificate or something to show legal name change, but I guess she realized the green card was proof enough of her name and moved past that. She made it all the way to the end before she made an error. She accidentally issued my wife an unrestricted license instead of a permit. She asked her co-worker how to correct it. She followed their instructions and changed it. Or at least she thought she did. My wife's unrestricted license arrived in the mail today. No B restriction in it, and it is good for 4 years.

Hi all, My Filipino wife and dual citizen 7 year old daughter will be flying from the Philippines to the US for the first time next week and I just wanted some clarification on the E-Travel process. My wife is traveling on an IR-1 visa and my daughter is already a US Citizen with a CRBA. I was told to register my wife within 72 hours of travel on etravel.gov.ph. Here are my questions: 1). I already created the etravel account, do I need to wait until 72 hours before to add my wife's info or is that done separately on the website for the actual flight? (See attached screenshot) 2). Do I need to include my dual citizen daughter on my wife's account or does she need her own E-Travel account? 3). There is a question that asks "what passport holder" you are. Should my daughter select Filipino or Foreign Passport? 4). If I make a mistake or miss something filling out the E-Travel is there opportunity to correct it at the airport? Thank you so much all!

Hi, My finacee and I were trying to set up our account on ustraveldocs in order to schedule the interview and biometrics. We were having a lot of trouble because the username she set up was not working, until finally I figured it out (for some reason it turned out to be her first and surname). Then it asked the security questions, I answered them, and immediately got a message the account was locked. To unlock I am supposed to contact the site owner. What in the world is going on? Has anyone had this happen? The only reasons I could think of was that I wrote the security answers with capital first letters instead of lowercase, or that my fiancee and I were both attempting to access the account at the same time from different computers. I'm concerned now. I don't know if it is a good idea to just try to make a new account, since we already used her name and our email address setting up this locked one. Is that an issue? Should I wait until Monday to contact the support at ustraveldocs? There is not even a "contact support" on the actual account part of ustraveldocs. Somewhat distraught, hope someone has some info on this. Thank you.
