Hello, I need some advise please. This is way harder than it used to be.
So my parents visa interview appointment was rescheduled 3 times due to pandemic, I applied them on September of 2020 in the Philippines and now the 3rd one is coming up (and last one) and a lot had happen between those times. We've moved to a different state and I knew that the DS-160 form submitted had our previous US contact info especially the location - i don't know what to do - did anyone had similar situation that made it to the interview? Will there be a chance to update the form? Please advise. Much appreciated.

Good day everyone.

I ve been having this problem ever since I got the J1 job offer this May.

I already have a job offer for J1 visa and I m now going to process my visa. The thing is I have a K1 pending application. I had a boyfriend before, we were together for 2 years and we ended things up for good just this March. But our relationship was already not good last year so we would be on and off and every time, I would always tell him to cancel the K1 visa as I didn t want to have a problem with the US embassy.

Side note:
I first started my J1 journey January of 2020 and I met him 2021. He came here to the Philippines and met me April of 2022 and when he came back to the US he applied for a K1 visa. There was no progress in my J1 visa ever since of 2020 so I thought I didn t had the chance to work there in the USA. And just this May of 2023 when it finally had a progress. I had the job interview with a school around May 11th and by May 15th they already offereme the job.

Been telling him to cancel our visa but no response from him. I ve been emailing our visa agency but they keep telling me I don t have power to cancel it as I am not the petitioner.

Is it gonna be a problem when I have my embassy interview?

I badly need answers. I ve been stressing about this a lot these days. Thank you so much everyone.

Hello everyone,

Hope all is well.

My wife background: She came in the states as IR1 Visa and she have been in the states for 2 and half years.

I am an active duty military and got accompanied orders in Italy. Our projected rotation date is on August 2024. She will be eligible to 90 day early filing on August this year. I was wondering if we are able to expedite her naturalization application while we are here in the states before we move to Italy. Can we also file her application of naturalization without waiting on her 90 day early filing? I would like to know if this is falls under 319(b) rules. Appreciate your comments and thank you in advance!

V/r,

Tino

Does anybody know if there are delays for getting CR-2 visa appointments at the U.S. Embassy in Manila? My step-son CR-2 case was documentarily qualified by NVC on 5 May....but we still have not received a visa appointment from them. Please let me know if anybody has a similiar case pending at NVC (waiting for visa interview dates from US Embassy in Manila).

Visa denial due to New Minimum Income Requirements [merged threads]

Here we go again. I m a US Citizen and the Sponsor for my Filipino Wife and 2 Stepchildren . My wife was just denied her and my Stepchildren's Visa s because with the New Minimum Income Requirements as of March 1, 2023, my income was deemed insufficient and she was told I needed a Joint Sponsor.

We originally filed our I-130 on June 30, 2021 and were approved on May 19, 2022. At the NVC in September 2022, we were informed our income which was previously adequate, was now insufficient so we uploaded my 2022, SS Benefits Letter which showed Sufficient Income for 2022. She was DQ d in October 2022. Fast forward to her Medical Exam March 29, 2023, Wife flagged for TB. Further testing showed no infection. (Wife disclosed at Medical that she was diagnosed with TB and Treated with 6 month Course of Treatment over 6 years ago and deemed cured) Follow up Medical on May 29, 2023, Cleared Medical. Interview Date June 7, 2023, Income Insufficient! Required to provide Joint Sponsor. Fortunately my 2023, SS Benefit exceeds the new March 1, 2023, Minimum Required Income so we went home and updated our I-864, wrote a cover letter, and submitted it, along with her Passport to LBC for delivery to the Embassy.

I thought I recalled reading that once DQ d you weren t subject to changes in the Minimum Income Requirement. Does anyone know if that s true?

Additionally, when my Wife went to her 2nd Medical Interview she stopped by the US Embassy Visa Information Desk at St Luke s and was informed that our Children ages 7 and 9 yrs old were not required to be present for the Embassy Interview, bc they are under 14 yrs old. WRONG. If you are told this it s just not true bc in a addition to providing my new Income verification letter we now have to reschedule the Children s Interview. A needless delay. My wife feels terrible because she had my new SS Benefits Letter with her but was too shaken to remember she had it and feels totally responsible for not taking the children bc when she called me from St Luke s I told her to double check. She did and even took a selfie with the person at the Information Desk but the Embassy Consular wasn t moved.

I m writing this not so much for feedback, which I do want, but to alert my fellow Citizens of these potential stumbling blocks at the finish line.
