Hello! My fiancee is going through the process at USEM for a K1. To make a long story short, she was issued a visa last april but my son's was denied because of his need for a CRBA. We got all of that done, but then her medical expired last August because of our delay. She retook the medical in December. The embassy then called her and asked her to write a letter saying why the medical expired and to send back in her passport and the expired visa.she did that then they called again telling her to pay the visa fees. She asked if she would need to do the interview again or if they needed anything else. The consular officer told her no over thr phone. We paid the visa fees on January 17th. Her visa status changed from issued to ready on March 16th. The last update was 3-27. We are getting nervous because her medical will expire again on June12th, and here we are april 28th and still says "ready." It doesnt help that we just heard a horror story about a couple that has redone their medical 5 times already and it just keeps expiring. Should we be worried? I sent an email to the embassy back in March and they did not answer....

Hi, I am a US Citizen by birth. My (now) wife immigrated from Philippines under a K-1 visa (by me) with 3 children (K-2 visas) in 2008. We married, went through Change of Status, Removal of Conditions for her and kids normally and without problems. Wife and eldest child (who aged out) received US Citizenship and US Passports through Naturalization process, receiving US Certificates of Citizenship at that time. (2016 timeframe) 2 younger children (underage at 2016 timeframe) received US Passports through application by their mother. Do the 2 younger children need to apply for Certificate of Citizenship using N-600? Confusion for me: What does the CoC provide that possession of Passport not? Thanks in Advance.

After my last two posts on this website, I'm glad to say that I dropped off my passport with my 221g just yesterday, April 28th, 2025. I'm happy, but now there are new concerns. Is there an estimate on how long it usually takes to hear back after that? The waiting game feels really hard to do.

Hello. a few things we are very confused about, we are about to file for the AOS and getting together all the supporting documents, and I'm really not clear about some of what is being asked of us. according to some guides and other posts on here, you need your tax transcripts and w2's, which is all well and good. where i get confused is where some suggest that you need "copies of your full tax return" and "all schedules" pardon my ignorance, but by "full tax return" does it mean only the 1040 (which ranges from 2-5 pages depending on the year) or the full 20+ page packet that was returned to me upon completion of my taxes which include such forms as 540, 3514, 8880 and such? I'm also not very familiar with what a "schedule" is in regards to taxes. any information and help is greatly appreciated thank you

I the petitioner have a stable in our residence country making comfortably above the poverty levels. I work for a wholly owned subsidiary of a US company. My company is transferring me back to the US company and my current position will continue in the USA (with a higher salary). I have letters from my employer stating this but at the time filling out the I-864 that the transfer will not have occurred. I am applying for an IR-1 Visa for my wife. Tax returns have been filed consistently. I do not have a joint sponsor or a good candidate for one. Can I get past the I-864 and get my wife an interview with this situation. Anything thoughts or hints would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
