US Immigration from Nigeria

My dad filed for my siblings and I in 2017, I got married in 2018 and my status was updated to married. Now I'm getting a divorce and I'm confused on how to proceed. I have the following questions:

1. How does this affect my application?

2. Am I required to send in a divorce certificate?

3. If yes to question 2, does it mean there will be a change in expected timeline?

4. Can this process be expedited in any way?

Hi everyone, does anyone know the correct email address to contact the Lagos consulate to request a change to an immigrant visa appointment due to medical reasons? I messaged them over a month ago to these two emails with no response. LagosIV@state.gov and Nigeria@usvisaappt.com. I also sent a case inquiry with NVC and haven t heard back either. Website given to reschedule doesn't work either.

I am thinking about filing a spousal visa. However my future husband has a daughter should we file for her too or bring him first then our daughter which would be faster?

I married a US Citizen in 2019. I gave her a purported customary divorce decree that she later investigated as being fake. I naturalized in 2024 after 3 year rule of being married to a us citizen. The us citizen spouse filed for annulment and was granted on bigamy. Before the annulment trial, I went back to my home country and divorced my first wife to have it in record. Can I still apply for my children abroad to come to US? The children abroad are from my first wife.

Hello everyone,

I'm a bit worried about my children (stepchildren). With the insecurity in the country of their abode, I'm very worried about their safety.

I am a US citizen, filed for my husband. He has his conditional greencard. We filed for condition removal early this year but he was given an extension. I feel this wouldn't enable him to be able to file for the children on time.

Can I file for them? I'm willing to start the process asap if I can.
