Hi All! Currently my sister-in-law is here from Canada. She holds a Canadian passport and doesn t have American citizenship or American Residency. She came here by air plane. Now she wants to go to Tijuana, Mexico to see a dentist. I thought all non-essential border traffic is closed. I m thinking that when she wants to try to return to the USA in San Ysidro by car she will be refused entry. Can somebody confirm if this is still the case? Thank you!

Hey guys! Hope someone went through this and can help me out. Back in 2013, I was an Au Pair, but couldn t file my taxes bc I lost my SSN (tried to retrieve it, was already back in the Netherlands and US can t provide it without you being here in person). Anyway, since I can file for my 10yr GC around April 2021 and citizenship in about 1,5 years, I want to get it done now. My question is, should I fill all the personal info out as if it was back than? For example, it asks if you ever applied for a GC and if you ever changed your visa status. Back than the answer was no, of course now I have a GC (since 2019) and moved back here in 2018 on a K1. Also, I took my husbands name, but in 2013 I wasn t married, so I had my maiden name. I would think I would have to fill it out with info from back than, just don t wanna get in trouble with immigration for lying on my tax forms, which I m obviously not trying to do. Any insight would be much appreciated! I m also planning on adding a letter with an explanation to the IRS, so they know it s good intent. Thanks!

Hi, My wife and I are uploading documents to the NVC portal. I'm Italian, she's American. We are living together in the Netherlands, we are married and we have a 1-year old baby. We are planning to move to America together. My father-in-law lives in America and he filled the affidavit of support for me to be my sponsor. Does my wife need to be my sponsor, too? Thanks

DS-260 - Have I served in military? |

Hi, I'm Italian born in 1981. Military service was mandatory back in the days. I was in the "Lista di Leva", (the list of guys who could do the military service). I was called in 2001 and I spent a couple of days in Florence to do all the checks and all the visits. Together with many others, I was found "Riformato" (ineligible) to do the military service, I took the train and I went back home. That's it! I didn't swear in front of my flag. I didn't shoot or received and sort of training. There was probably a document that certifies it, but either I've never had it or it got lost in the last 20 years. There is, however, a document that says that I was in the list of the guys who could do the military service. If you asked me: "Did you serve in the military?" I would answer a strict: "No!" What should I answer in the DS-260? If I answer yes, they want to know the Branch of Service, the Rank, the Military Specialty... All things that I can't reply to because they're completely irrelevant to me, simply because... I didn't serve in the military. So, have I served in the military? Thanks
