US Immigration from Kenya

I have a pending 751 for almost two years, I applied for citizenship and got interview schedule but the 751 has not moved from biometric taken. Is there anything I can do to ensure that it gets to the field office before my N-400 interview?

Any insight on this bill? Not sure if this topic has been raised here already

A 30+ years old friend of a friend is currently claiming asylum based on FGM. First of all FGM is nearly non-existent in Kenya. I've not heard about it in a long time. Secondly, it used to be done to young girls/ pre-teens.

That being said, I wonder how a 30+ years old is gonna convince a judge that her life is in danger because of FGM. She just got here on B-2 last year. She's been safe all this while in Kenya up until she set foot on American soil. SMH.

Sometimes I wish I was a judge or USCIS officer. Such cases would be getting denied as soon as proceedings opened. I'll wait for you to introduce yourself and tell me the story. As soon as you're done, I close the case. 10 mins tops.

What frivolous asylum cases have you heard? Or any case in general

I've read most of the notices on US government website. I don't need a license per OFAC as I'll be under the 12 "no need license category."

I also have to be careful and make sure accommodation doesn't fall under Cuba Prohibited Accommodation list.

1. That being said, any VJer here who's non-cuban and has successfully visited Cuba? I need some tips or real life experiences.

2. Any Cuban here who has good advise?

As a USC, I wish to sponsor both my parents. They currently live outside the United States. What route would you recommend: (1) bring them here on a tourist visa, file I-130 and then I-485, or (2) have them go the consular processing route?

I hear that wait times for I-130 approval are quite long (roughly 12.5 months). So does it make any sense for them to come here and go the route of I-485 when it's just going to take a really long time even getting to I-485 due to I-130 wait time? Or are they able to obtain Advanced Parole and EAD while waiting for I-130 approval?

Hope someone can provide which is the best route to take.
