FIling N400 while I130 pending (separated from spouse)

Hi all, some background: Married my partner in Jamaica, as petitioner I filed I130 in 2020, still pending. Friendship & marriage deteriorated, we're separated but per Jamaican law we have to have been separated for a year if married at least 2 years to legally file for divorce; he's still in Jamaica - never visited US.

I get to file to naturalize in 3 weeks.

1. Do I need to contact USCIS and cancel the pending I130 before I submit or just let it lapse? I've removed him from my bank accounts, life insurance policies, etc

2. When submitting my application, am I filing as separated? All my taxes since 2020 were filed as single because he does not have a tax ID or SSN.

3. Prolly silly/sentimental: I currently use his last name on most of my documents esp since I used those on our I130 application, except my Ja passport & driver's license - is Firstname Middlename Maidenname Marriedame a sensible/valid choice?

I no longer consider myself married, and I'm not sure how to submit my application while I have no divorce decree or anything to indicate we're separated except for a random text between us last year. Will my separation have any effect on my filing for naturalization? I'm hoping it won't matter, tbh.

Thanks.

I-130 for Mother. Help me understand the process some more

I filed I-130 for my mother who lives outside the US in March 2021 and received an NOA with receipt number shortly after. I've been checking the case status on USCIS and it currently says "Case is being actively reviewed". How long is I-130 taking for parents these days?

Also, after I-130 is approved, what's next? I'm not so clear on all the steps that come after.

Is it also true that my mother can live with me while I-130 is pending?

Hello, I am new to VJ. I just had a couple of questions. I filed I-130 for my husband who s currently in Jamaica & it was received June 21st, 2021, then actively reviewed January 26th, 2022. It was originally at the Nebraska Service Center, then got transferred to Texas. We ve been together 3 years, married for a little over a year.
First question, how can I (if I can) have a joint bank account here in the states with him not being able to obtain a social security number just yet? So, we can have more together than just the house we built in JA. (In Jamaica, it s different than the states on things like this. Plus, we built it on his family s land, so no paperwork or anything. It s not required), so having joint things together is kinda difficult right now. So, I m not sure of any other ways to run any other things jointly together to help our case. If anyone can shed some light or give me any ideas, that would be extremely helpful! Or maybe some things we could potentially do when I** go to Jamaica as I go many times during the year. We began adding me to his bank account there the time before last that I went, but I didn t have the required documentation as it was a last minute thing & just decided to go to the bank & see what could possibly be done. So, if anyone has any other recommendations, I m all ears!

Second question, is there any sort of way to maybe find out which month a service center is currently working on per whatever petition is filed (in my case // I-130 not filed concurrently)..? Or at least get a round-about-answer as to where they re at with reviewing said petitions..?? Of course, I know patience is the key here. But, going through this is already hard enuff missing your spouse and dealing with the anxiety and wondering if you re doing it correctly & what not. Thanks for any help!

Greetings,

Any advice on how to get things moving. We had a 1 year ban due to marijuana (admitting to past use). Visa processing was scheduled to resume June/21. Hospital contacted spouse for 1st drug test in October/21. No communication has been received since then. I have made contact to the Embassy (responses redirect to hospital), contact made to hospital with no responses, spouse has went in person to explain situation and nothing.

Any advice ?
