Hi All, this is a pretty specific question but hoping someone might have some insight. My husband and I are going on a trip with friends to Big Bend National Park in Texas. We re flying into El Paso, TX. I didn t realize this, but there are several roads we need to cross that have CBP checkpoints on them. Our i485 is in process (status is actively reviewed, completed biometrics). I m worried we may have trouble if the officer doesn t fully understand the k1 process? I will plan to bring our i485 receipt & biometrics notice. We didn t file for EAD or advanced parole so don t have any documentation other than my receipts for i485. I know he s totally fine to be in the US but could this be a risky situation? **Just to clarify - not intending to leave the US whatsoever these are CBP checkpoints inside the state of Texas.**

Hi Everyone, Looking to see if anyone else is having issues with getting the embassy to respond to email questions. My fianc is the Irish citizen and we are going through the K-1 visa process and we are getting towards the end of the validity period for his i-797. It expires 5/29/2024 but the medicals are booked up and he couldn't get an appointment until 6/14/2024. The only time they answered us was when they said that the i-797 can be extended once they receive the notice of readiness, but the documents they included in the email say that the notice of readiness can't be sent until he has the medical exam results. This whole thing is making no sense to us and we really need help. Anyone out there who can help us out? Thanks in advance!

I am not sure if this is the correct place. My husband from Ireland and I are in the Adjustment of Status process. His only ID is his passport still (it is NOT expired, but the stamp in there relates to the date he should have went back to Ireland), as this process is very long it seems. We are currently waiting for the interview step. We are wanting to travel to a couple other states within the US for some fun vacation times, but I have a fear that if they examine his passport they may want to detain him for being past his date. We have driven to other states close by, but we have a couple friends we want to visit quite a far bit away from us. Has anyone else been in this situation and flown just fine?

Next week will be 90 days waiting for an interview letter for my husband - IR1, Dublin embassy. I ve seen mixed stuff online from the NVC about calling after 90 days has passed to see what s going on. I m living overseas with my husband and my work has agreed that August is my window to move over in. Additionally, my husband will probably lose his internal transfer role if we don t get some concrete dates for his company s U.S. management soon. Starting to get desperate.

Hi Everyone, So my Fianc e and i are in the final steps of completing our i-129f form and corresponding evidence, we have everything ready to print but we are not sure how to physically set everything out when we print it all. Would we be better off putting everything in a ring binder or is loose paper in clear plastic pockets better? Do we need title pages to state every different section of the evidence/ forms? What is the best order to put things in? Even if someone could point me to a previous post outlining this all so we can get it sorted, we want to make sure we have everything set out appropriately and clearly so the officer/ reviewer can navigate everything smoothly, and we can have a better peace of mind when it comes to making sure everything is in the right order and concise. Thank you for your time!
