Our I-130 was approved April 25th. We are submitting to Dublin Ireland Embassy. I m sorry I just need to vent and maybe some insight on a timeline? Is our lawyer taking an unreasonable amount of time, I m not trying to sound impatient- I realize immigration law is complex and there are things behind the scenes that I am not aware of.. I just can t wrap my head around filling out an application with info our lawyer has had for a year just now being filled out and I m struggling really bad. My husband and I have been long distance for over 2 years now and we are not in a good spot. I think both of us are overwhelmed and over everything, I hate seeing what this process has done to us. I have always held onto hope and faith that this chapter is almost over and everything will be okay when he s back home. Waiting over a year for I130 to be approved, I thought that was the hardest part over with but now we re waiting to wait again. I understand the NVC will take time as well and it seems easier to wait when it comes to immigration officers because it is what it is we re all waiting on them. But waiting on my lawyer to fill out these documents to submit to NVC is almost destroying me. Is this a normal time line for submitting documents? She has had all of our info this whole time, and her emails to ask questions etc to fill it out just seems to me that she could have had all this figured out before this.. idk. It doesn t help she s tik tok famous, posting all the time, so everytime I see her pop up I get angry all over again like can you maybe go fill out some forms? Ah idk. Our I-130 was approved April 25th. We are submitting to Dublin Ireland Embassy. Marriage- I am from US. Living in US while he is stuck in Ireland.

Hi folks, I had my interview for my NIW-EB2 case on October 2023. After the interview, the consular officer asked me to email my 212(e) waiver for my previous J1 visa and then they will grant my immigrant visa. As the process is very time consuming It took more than 7 months to get the waiver from USCIS. Finally, on 18th June 2024 I got my I-612 and emailed the copy of my waiver to the embassy. The embassy did not reply my email and I tried multiple times. I called them however the phone is never reachable. Its already more than 15 days I am getting very worried about it. Could you kindly suggest what shall I do in such situation? Your expert advice would really help. Thanks in advance!

Hi, do you wait to be invited to file your paperwork or does the petitioner have to do it once the date for filing on the visa bulletin is passed your priority date without being invited? Thank you.

Hi, I got my receipt from USCIS after 2 weeks of the favourable recommendation from DOS. Its now nearly 4 weeks I have not received the case approval from them. According to USCIS technically 4 weeks is the processing timeframe. Hope somebody can share their latest timeline? Thanks!

Hi All, this is a pretty specific question but hoping someone might have some insight. My husband and I are going on a trip with friends to Big Bend National Park in Texas. We re flying into El Paso, TX. I didn t realize this, but there are several roads we need to cross that have CBP checkpoints on them. Our i485 is in process (status is actively reviewed, completed biometrics). I m worried we may have trouble if the officer doesn t fully understand the k1 process? I will plan to bring our i485 receipt & biometrics notice. We didn t file for EAD or advanced parole so don t have any documentation other than my receipts for i485. I know he s totally fine to be in the US but could this be a risky situation? **Just to clarify - not intending to leave the US whatsoever these are CBP checkpoints inside the state of Texas.**
