After seeing my i-130 approval notice, it turned out i need to file another form which is i-824. I filed it around 3 weeks after my i-130 approval due to confusion and it was delivered 5 days ago. How long should i wait to receive the receipt number? I've seen some people got approved in like 2-3 months and some got approved in 4 months, though the processing time in the USCIS website is way longer. I discovered that i-824 has a lot of purposes and each has different processing time. From what i know, the one to request "USCIS to send my approved immigration visa petition to the NVC" takes shorter time. For people with the same case as as mine, how long did it take for your i-824 to be approved?

I am normally pretty savvy when it comes to immigration filings, but I cannot for the life of me find a working link for the N-400 online application. Not the PDF form (which I was able to download), but the actual submission/application portal?

Those who filed their N-400 application online; could you share the link to do so..? The "File Online" tab on the USCIS page (https://www.uscis.gov/n-400) took me to my my.uscis.gov account dashboard where I cannot find a way/link to the N-400 online filing. Am I missing something glaringly obvious here..? Thanks in advance!

Hi, i have a question, if my joint sponsor worked for 10 years but now they have no more jobs, still looking, can they still be my joint sponsor? Can they still submit their paperwork ?

I have a joint sponsor who is retired. He has two different kinds of 1099s to upload. Additionally, he files taxes jointly with his wife. She also has two of the same kind of 1099 forms that should be uploaded to the NVC.

My question is:

Do I upload each 1099 separately for my joint sponsor and his wife (leading to 4 documents under the 1099 category)?

OR

Do I scan the 1099s of the same form together for both the joint sponsor and his wife, into one PDF document?

Hi, I'm Cindy. I'm married with US citizen, we have been married since 2023. My husband is sick he got lupus and he always takes peritoneum dialysis every night so that causes him cant live in my country all this time.

Also because of his disease his condition is unstable. So we decided to take spousal visa and adjustment status which is now we realized that we need co sponsor for it.

My question is if my husband doesnt have a job, and he cant be my sponsor, can we have another person to be my sponsor?

Can it be his friend ?

And how much income do they need to become a co sponsor?
