US Immigration from Hong Kong

Hi, I am filling up I130 for my wife, She is in Hong Kong, I am a permanent resident living in US.

In the last section of the online form, it said:

If a required document is unavailable, you must provide a typed or printed explanation of the reasons that document is unavailable and submit secondary evidence to establish eligibility. Secondary evidence must overcome the unavailability of the required documents. USCIS may request an original typed or printed statement from the appropriate government or other legal authority to support your claim that the documents are unavailable.

The following types of secondary evidence may be submitted to establish eligibility:

• Religious record
• School records
• Census records
• Written statements

But my wife doesn't have any of these records. She is not into any religion, she is a house wife and not going to any school. She has no census records. And written statement is Affidavits which can be written by someone.

My question is.. Is it ok if I skip all these secondary evidence?

I have provided the important documents such as marriage certificate, children's birth certificate, bank statements with both of our names, images of my green card and her passport, I130A etc...

Hi guys, I got DQ Nov 3. I got advice that the Manila Embassy is willing to expedite so we've sent an email today.

My questions

1 - if in the occasion that we don't get expedite approval (or if they take a while to respond), how long will it take before I get an interview? Any recent cases?

2 - I keep seeing that once the case is 'READY' on CEAC, you can book your own interview on ustraveldocs/CGI. Is this just for expedited cases or for everyone whose case is READY?

My interview appointment is in December 2022 and I plan to land in the same month after granting of my immigration visa. However I need to return to Hong Kong in January to settle things. Is there any required period of time that I must stay in US after immigration before any travelling outside of US arrangement? If such, is there any application form for granting of travelling outside of US during the period?

The NVS process has two parts the AOS and the DS-260 . When documents are submitted, will they evaluate the AOS separately to the DS-260 Beneficiary docs? Or is it done in one go>?

Hello everyone. I am just starting my journey and want to make sure it isn t doomed from the start. My fianc is a Philippines citizen and was married to another Philippines citizen 12 years ago she hasn t seen him for over 9 years. As everyone knows divorce is not allowed in the Philippines. My fianc has lived in Hong Kong for the last 5 years on a work visa. Will the US recognize a divorce filed in Hong Kong or does she need to annual it through the Philippines government? I can t find an answer anywhere. It will be difficult for her to file for an annulment because she lives so far away and isn t given much time off.
