N600 & Green card for adopted minor immigrant?

My adopted daughter recently landed and immigrated to US last Tuesday under IR2 Visa. In accordance with my instruction on her DS 260, her SSN card will be sent to our home address without separate application at local SSN office. Any idea how long it will take to receive it in Bay Area, CA?

I tried to contact our local SSN office but in vain that always line busy and cut calls afterward.

My understanding is that she is below 18 and meets the Child Citizenship Act of 2000 eligibility that entitled her citizenship automatically. I called USCIS and the lady advised us to file N600 for her certificate of citizenship (around 21months waiting time in CA) which deviate from what I was told by the agent of the Consulate General of Hong Kong who said the cert would be issued to us directly. Besides USCIS told us she is also required to file and pay for her permanent resident card at $220, I would have thought it was covered by the DS 260 application fees and the card will be send to our address.

Do we need to file the N600 and permanent resident card for her?

Would anyone kindly provide us some expertise advice? Many thanks

Hello everyone. I know by posting here will be my best and reliable option of getting a definite and true answer. So we are already marries through K1 fiancee visa and we already submitted the AOS and my wife had a biometric already last November 30th. Our case status still says actively reviewing and Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time.

I am a US Citizen and I am disabled but still currently working 40hrs a week and annual income is $27,000 a year. However due to my serious medical health condition this past few months I am not able to work completely 40hrs a week and then I just started my approved continuous leave through FMLA monday of December 13th up to January 31st as my body has been suffering more pain and weakness due to my serious health medical condition and possible I might extend my continuous leave depending on my body condition. Now I am not sure yet if I can be approved also on my short term disability on my work insurance to get paid while I am on leave. So I am not sure how can I pay my bills or sustain our needs and necessities. I know as a petitioner we are obligated to support our beneficiary but this is unforeseen serious medical health condition of mine.

Now my question is, if in case I would try to apply some grants from the government like food stamps is it going to affect my wife s AOS application to be denied?

Is there any kinds of grants that you can help and suggest me which one I can get that will not affect our AOS application?

We are currently living and located in Morristown Tennessee.

Just today I got approved on the EBB program of Straightalk service by showing my three months pay stub that I am only earning less than 40hrs a week. I hope this is not going to affect my wife s AOS application by me receiving this EBB program?

Thank you so much I hope somebody can help me and guide me and gave me a definite and exact and true answer here as I am not originally from here in United States so I have a very little knowledge about here in United States so I am asking a guidance here. God bless.

So I decided to transfer my mom case to Manila USEM from HK US Embassy. I got an email from HK US Embassy they say We have received the request form the U.S. Embassy in Manila for transferring Ms._______case records to them and it has been transferred to the U.S. Embassy in Manila electronically on Nov 22, 2021. Her case is closed in Hong Kong. Any further inquiry on her case should be made directly with the U.S. Embassy in Manila, Philippines."

So I been waiting for an email from US Embassy of Manila but we didnt hear anything till now what is the next step that we have to do and how long should we wait till we hear from them? Any idea guys? Just being impatient she supposed to have her interview last June 24, but we had to cancelled and due to teh quarantine issues but my mom will be going back to Philippines from Macau next year thats why we moved the case to PHilippines. Pls if there anyone who did the same issue pls share your experience. Thank you for anyone who wants to share experience.

So we filed AOS from k1 in April and we have now received the date for our interview for Dec 2nd. I did my medical panel exam back in my home country and did some vaccines. There s a couple missing that I didn t take back then as they told me I can take it in the states. Im not sure which one I m missing and I don t have the records for it. This whole time I thought they would be giving us a letter or something when we send in our AOS application about the vaccines missing.
So what do I do now? Do I need to have all vaccines prior to the interview? Or would the interviewer tell me that I am missing these and need to do it after?
I m very confused and worried about it now.

Thanks

Hi everyone, I just called the Social Security Office today and tried to set up an appointment for my wife to get her ssn with her k-1 visa. And they told me since she is married, she will need a EAD before she can apply for ssn, Is that true? Since I read a lot if people in the forum that they were able to get ssn before and after marriage without EAD. Should I just call again and tell them that she is not married yet so she can get her ssn because i dont think they are able to verify if she is married yet or not. Please let me know if I am wrong, thank you!
