Hi guys, would really appreciate your help on these two questions: 1) For those who have recently been DQ, how long is it currently taking for the US Embassy in Hong Kong to schedule interviews? (If I check the timelines and forums back in 2021, it feels like a 2-3 month timeline is safe to assume) 2) And what is the usual interval between the appointment letter and the actual interview? (3-4 weeks from what I see) I'm leaving Hong Kong for a few months and since flying back to Hong Kong has become complicated because of the changing quarantine measures, I'd want to time it as precise as I can right after I get DQ. Thanks so much!! Any help will be super appreciated

Hi everyone, I got a ref for my green card application in Nov 2021 and the deadline is coming up but I haven't collected necessary evidences related to the affidavit of support. I think my case is eligible for the uscis' covid extension (extra 60 days to respond) but i'm wondering if i should submit whatever i have now before the deadline and send the outstanding items later or do you recommend submitting everything at once before the extended deadline? fyi, i'm waiting for my husband's irs transcript which be out soon hopefully. Thanks so much for help.

So tonight I was discussing the paperwork with my fiance as she prepares for her interview in Hong Kong, and she casually mentioned writing down her SSN on the paper. I'm like "What do you mean your SSN??" She says "Yes, it was right here" and shown me the copy of her i129f that the HK embassy gave her that has a SSN written in (I typed the application) in the SSN box right under her name. Throughout the document there are a few other changes i.e. when I called to update my address, but to our knowledge she has not ever applied for a social security number. Previously she studied abroad as a student in the states, but she does not remember having a number. Where would USCIS have gotten this number from to write it in? And should she use it on the further paperwork she has to give to HK embassy?? I'm worried that this could cause issues later if it's not correct.

Hi all, I've been living in the USA since I was a child and never left the country until recently I flew back to Hong Kong (my birth place) to do consular processing. So when I submitted my documents to NVC I didn't submit a police certificate from Hong Kong because based on ustraveldocs it says: Quote -
If you hold a Hong Kong passport or document of identity (i.e. have the right of abode in Hong Kong) and have resided in Hong Kong for 6 months or more when you were 16 years or older, you must provide a Hong Kong police certificate. The certificate must cover the entire period of your residence in Hong Kong. So based on this statement, I did not submit a police certificate from HK because again I've been living in the US since I was a child and so I did not live in HK for 6+ months after 16 years old. I got DQ'd so I thought everything would be okay. My interview at the consulate is in two weeks and I'm afraid whoever interview me will ask for a police certificate from HK. Do I just tell them about this clause from the document I found on ustraveldocs? Also, I was never able to obtain it because one of the criteria is to get a personalized checklist from the embassy telling me I need a police certificate, which I never received. Am I safe to assume everything is going to be okay assuming I have every other necessary document?

Is it at all possible to find tracking information or confirmation when the package arrives at the embassy from NVC? Just received the email today from NVC stating it was received (My I-129 was approved mid December) and "Will now be forwarded", so my assumption is NVC has just received/processed our I-129F and is now going to ship it to the Hong Kong Embassy.
