US Immigration from Ghana

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this group, but i have seen that so many people has been helped with their questions.

I am married to a USC who is in the NAVY for almost 2 years, but this person has been abusive, extorting for the most part, I am worn out and do not think I can continue with the married. Prior to our marriage, I been going through immigration court hearing for overstay in the United State, but when we got married we put in a family based petition which I believe is helping my court hearing, there is no final determination on my courting hearing at this time. I am tired of being abused because of my short comings. I want to leave the marriage and file for VAWA. Does anyone think my court hearing for deportation would be affected if I leave the marriage and file for VAWA? I am trying to find the possible best option for me.

What does it mean when your case has been placed on administrative hold and how long does it take

I had my visa interview on the 10th of May and was refused under 221g . I submitted what the consular officer asked me to . It s been 3 months since my interview . They took my passport on the day of the interview . It s been with them for 3 months . I ve sent enquiries through the Accra answers form but still nothing . Anybody have an idea how long administrative processing takes place at the US Accra embassy and how do I even get a response from them . They are saying nothing .

I hope your interview went well. I'm in the same boat right now. I followed the same step as you did and I'm worried that it might backfire. I scheduled my interview for next month and I have not received packet 3 yet. Let me just say I followed the same step as yours. Did it workout that way for you or you had to wait for the embassy to write you first?

Receive an email with our case number. Is there an additional letter that we're looking for that's gonna actually say welcome letter or can we just go in and start the application process for the Visa what are the next steps when Do we pay the fees and get a check list of documents needed? I'm just trying to get the steps in order will the latter give us an appointment date or we go online creating application pay the fees and then choose an appointment date I'm all over the place?
