Worth it to submit a new expedite request? |

I'm a USC and I've been stuck waiting on NOA2 on my I-130 application for 14+ months (submitted September 11, 2021) for my overseas spouse in Germany. Over the past couple of months, I've developed health issues and require my husband's support, so I submitted an expedite request 30 days ago. I was initially told that an email would be sent within 7 days of submission with next steps. I received no such email, and I've been calling every week to check on the status. Every time I call, I am told, "no officer has been assigned to your case yet and you need to continue waiting." The last guy I talked to told me they technically have 30 days to respond, and if that hasn't happened, I should call back to submit a new expedite request. Is it even worth my effort at this point? I have read that while you are in the process of an expedite request, you are technically taken off the queue for your I-130 review by an officer. Is that true? What happens now that 30 days have passed? Am I in limbo? Should I let it go? I'm at my wits end at this point and don't know when this horrible process will ever end.

Hey, we received this email: The National Visa Center (NVC) updated the status of your immigrant visa application We logged into the account, there is no message. But all our documents are accepted? What is going on? Are we DQ? They want an RFE? How do we know?

Hi VJ community, I am a bit unsure of what happens after the Frankfurt embassy receives the I-130 petition. I have been reading the forums but I feel more confused than ever. What is packet 3? I see this term all in the forums but on the official US department of state website does not have it anywhere (at least I haven't found it). Does the embassy email next steps for the DS-260 stuff or do they send an email? We want to know what to be on the look out for. I have read so many post and i'm still unclear on what to expect.

Don't do it!! My wife was denied entry to US because of an 8 hour ESTA overstay, caused by COVID and flight cancellations in 2020. We got married soon after this, and applied for both the CR-1 and a B-2 visas. At the 1st B2 appointment in Vienna, she was denied without any reason given, only "you can reapply...". We had a second interview a month later, denied again. The officer implied that the CR-1 application was a problem for the NI visa, but didn't say it directly. After many emails with Frankfurt and NVC staff, they basically said you cannot apply for both IV and NIV at the same time. I wish this would have been clear at the beginning. We would have not applied for the CR-1 until we had the B-2. My wife has not been able to visit our US home for almost 2 years because of a nasty immigration agent at Houston.

Could our age difference be a problem at the interview? |

I finally got my interview date for my IR-1 visa and naturally I am not going to spend the next four weeks worrying until it s finally here. I read in a lawyers article that a reason for denying an IR-1 visa could be a big age difference. My husband and I are 16 years apart in age and met when I was 23. Could this be seen as negative? Is there something I could do preemptively to avoid anything like that? Bringing extra pictures with our families and such to show that everyone in the family is supportive of us? I m so worried now
