Hi everyone, I am currently in the process of filling out the AOS Form I-864, and I was wondering if I can fill out some information on my computer and handwrite the rest of the fields that my laptop does not allow me to fill out digitally? Has anyone submitted their form where they filled out some fields digitally and some handwritten? Also, when I initially download the form the barcode is visible at the bottom of the pages, but when I open it in my Adobe Reader the barcode disappears (I did update my Adobe Reader and am still faced with this issue). I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue with their form and if they were able to solve the issue or is it okay to submit the form without the barcode at the bottom?

Hi, I am from Germany and had two F-1 visa denials (214b) in the past. The reason for that was a refused admission, trying to enter the U.S. as a tourist on ESTA. I gave the officer at the airport misleading answers. Hence, they refused my admission. Some time has passed. Now I am ready to pursue another attempt. I have been working for a global company here in Germany and besides applied for internships in the U.S. I got accepted for one internship so far. However, it is an unpaid position. I am still trying to find a paid one (if anyone has some advice on where to search as an international, feel free to comment on that). In general, I want to know if you think an J-1 Internship has a higher likelihood of approval for a visa in my specific case, compared to a F-1 student visa. I am looking forward to your insights! Mike

Hello everyone, I have been married for a US citizen for 2 years. We lived in Europe for one year and moved to the US recently due to his employment. We filed an I-130 form while abroad, and I entered the US through the ESTA program. We got married overseas. We meant to file the I-130 form through the consulate overseas, but we mistakingly filed it through USCIS. When explaining our situation to USCIS, they recommended that I enter the country through ESTA and file form I-485 while I wait for my I-130 to process. We were planning on doing so, however, based on my research, this is only allowed in certain situations, and we are not sure if our situation classifies as such. I am posting here to ask if anyone has been in a similar situation or knows whether this is permitted or not. We are also considering turning to an immigration lawyer to look at our case. Thank you in advance for any advice you can provide.

Hello, I have a quick question regarding the joint sponsor. Since we will need a joint sponsor for our immigration case, does the joint sponsor need to provide their last 3 years of Tax Returns or do they need to provide their Tax Return Transcripts? Along with that do they need to provide the W2's and/or 1099's from those years? Would they also need to submit a letter of employment as well as paystubs of their current income? I have been researching this topic and I see everyone is submitting different documents when it comes to the joint sponsor, some more than others. So I am not sure how much we need to actually submit or if we should go ahead and submit everything that I listed above? Is there an actual list that says what the joint sponsor needs to provide?

Petition was filed in January 2023. Partner filed to change her name just a few weeks back in her local jurisdiction, and will take a few months to go through. We're not sure on what do to once said name change finishes, as a few months from now, we may have NOA2. If we're still waiting for USCIS, should we reach out to them or send unsolicited documents to the CSC? If we already have NOA2, should we just let it proceed and correct it at interview date with the proper evidence on hand?
