Just wondering if this is common or a discrepancy that I should have corrected. On the I-129F approval, USCIS assigned an A# to my partner. I used that number to fill out the AOS forms and that showed up on the receipt notices. I messaged a USCIS representative to get the online access code, and on the biometric appointment notice, it says my spouse's married name and address correctly, but the A# is completely different.

I m a US citizen, husband is German citizen. We d like to live in Germany for a year or two and give ourselves (and our kid) a chance at that part of our family culture. He has a US green card, valid for 10 years, conditions removed. It seems he can apply for a re-entry permit but I wonder if anyone has personal experience with that. Also, if he applies and is approved for a re-entry permit, does that allow any visits to the US while we would be living in Germany? Additionally, he s considering applying for US citizenship but not sure if Germany would allow dual. They are unclear on stating their rules but looks like have approved some changes since 2024 began. Advice appreciated!

My wife is a German citizen who I filed for I-130 for in Sept of 2022. Our application is currently at the NVC stage and we received a request for her 2022 IRS tax transcript or an explanation for why she wasn't required to file. I had filed for 2022 as MFS, with the understanding that my wife was a non-resident alien who was not required to file. Is my understanding correct that I was not required to include her on my 1040 and that she was not required to file? We did not see any benefit to filing jointly. Will it suffice to provide a letter explaining this and is my understanding correct? TIA N

Dear all, Do you know which documents USCIS would accept as proof of custody? I am thinking overseas orders and address registration, bank statements addressed to the same address as myself? I don t want to be in the situation in which they request documents we don t have on us
